My Border Colley, normally petrified of vets is actually calming to the amazing vets and staff. And that says a lot!
Best vet practice in town. Very engaging team and very knowledgeable. My dog love to go there although it’s not always the most pleasant for her. I could not recommend any other vet more than Reena and her amazing team.
If 0 stars was an option I would’ve chosen it! In 2021 my dog was was severely ill and continuously throwing up. I took him to Vet Point and the because he’s fearful of going to the vet Darren struggled to do a consult with him. He put it down to “garbage gut” and gave us some meds. When he continued to throw up we went back. And once again they could get no where near him. They sent us home with another set of meds. At this point I was upset as they had given 2 sets of meds without doing a proper consult no temp taken etc. I felt he needed to be seen to properly and that he needed blood tests as none of the meds were working. When I complained about the service Reena Cotton called me to apologize and offered to do a urine and stool test. I dropped samples off and they tested the urine but forgot to test the stool. They apologized and said I wouldn’t be charged for it but sent me a bill anyways. When the urine sample came back normal, she called me and said it was most likely a behaviorial issue as he wasn’t eating. I was SHOCKED as he was STILL throwing up. At this point we of course started looking at other opinions. We found a vet who would actually do a proper check up on my dog - his fear aggression was no problem for this vet - he simply gave us tranquilizers for pre visit and then sedated him so that they could check him properly. They had to admit him for the day to rehydrate him as he was so dehydrated from all vomiting. They ran blood tests and found abnormalities and we started the journey to diagnose him. After a lengthy process working with our amazing new vet and a specialist, and many tests later - we have just found out what is wrong with him. He unfortunately has a liver condition which will possibly need surgery to fix. I can’t help but feel angry at the time wasted with Vet Point - and all the time he spent feeling so ill because the vets there were not interested in finding out what was really wrong with him! I highly recommend going elsewhere!
