Fantastic place! I stayed here seven nights on business. The room was great. The bed was good. WiFi worked very well, which was essential to me for business needs. Quiet atmosphere. Beautiful common areas. The hospitality of the entire staff was terrific! Very accommodating! I highly recommend Villa Lugano and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Irma and Eddie, for your exceptional hospitality!
Well managed, extremely clean and neat. even though I was just there to sort out a minor plumbing issue . The management does not tolerate even the minor issues to keep their patrons satisfied.Rooms: 5/5

What a special little spot! We loved the hand-picked travel-related decor, the attention to detail, friendliness of the staff and delicious breakfast. Free Wifi meant I could do a little work, while the room was cozy and relaxing. I hope that we have reason to stay with you again.Rooms: 5/5
It's a nice place with a touch of Italian or Tuscany. It has a homely feel to it with lovely calming fountains. I found the breakfast to be okay and the environment homely. On my next trip I'll stay longer and let you know what I feel. But in all the owner was nice and it was fine.
This is definitely a place to stay. The host is very accommodating and always try to meet you needs. Made my short stay in jhb very pleasant
Management & staff are very helpful & kind. I slept 1 night at very short notice in an "overflow" room with full bathroom across the hall. And then 2 nights in a upstairs ensuite room with a large balcony. The "overflow" room overlooked the pool & was lovely & quiet. I would definitely stay in a room by the pool again. The upstairs room overlooked the road side, so when on the balcony or when the windows were open it was noisy. Also the neighbors are very loud loud music & shouting on a Friday night, which can be heard from within the upstairs room. The English breakfast was plain, the other option being cereal. Unfortunately no pastries / muffins / health breads.
We booked the honeymoon suite because that is all that was available and we only booked this room because we were informed breakfast is included. Everything went well well the Saturday when we got there but the Sunday was a joke. We were asked what time we wanted breakfast we said 09h00am. By 08h55am when we went out the breakfast was in the process but not finished. We then went back to our room and packed up all of our stuff. By 09h15 there was still no-one in sight. By 09h30 I had reached the end of my patience and went and knocked on the manager/hosts door only to be "invited" into the room to find Kingsley in his boxers lounging in bed. I told him it's past 09h30 and that someone had also parked us in. No apology or concern just called the person who owned the vehicle and told her that he had told her she parked like an idiot. No attempt at an apology for making us wait for breakfast after we were asked when we would like to have it. I am appalled that we paid a R1000-00 for a room and this is the service you get. I am sure if the Owners were there we would have received better service.
Management fully committed to service excellence!. Inclusive breakfast more than sufficient. Top class facility with excellent cinema style conference venue. Secure parking. Conveniently situated to most tourist attraction supported by a shuttle service. Why stay anywherein Johannesburg area if you can stay at Villa Lugano?!!
