Equipment is broken and not kept in good condition. Benches are broken. Weight clamps are missing and not enough for the gym. Some of the accessories for certain movements is either broken or not there. If it was not for the friendly staff, I would have left. They make the contract bearable. Oooooh and almost forgot … the system is ALWAYS OFF LINE!
I've given up i’ve asked the staff numerous times to go and fix the weight section, the weights and benches are everywhere mis matched and everywhere. This facility has so much promise but it's not a simple process to find a matching set of dumbbells. When I ask reception to fix the situation, they admit that it's a problem and this was there response. 1. "Yes, I know but the team on the floor is on lunch" 2. "We can't move those weights because they are too heavy for us and the people that train don't put the weights back after training" 3. "Yes Sir, please wait" I left after waiting a few minutes with no I travel on a weekly basis, i enjoy training at a few Virgin Active franchises, this one is not up to standard. Virgin Active, Please fix this.
Klerksdorp to me was a great gym for this visit just some feedback water pressure low, shower drains serious bad smell and the steam room door needs fixing other than that perfect Gym they could go help VA Rustenberg this is the worst gym.
This is a great club. The equipment is neatly-kept and enough for members to share. The staff is friendly and helpful. A variety of group classes are on offer and some even run over the festive season. The club has a welcoming atmosphere and a multiracial clientele.
I love this virgin active. The staff is absolutely fantastic, always very friendly and helpful. Gym equipment is always on its place, the staff work really hard to make sure everything is neat. Equipment, floors and bathrooms are always clean. Really a big shout out to the staff, I can see everyday how hard they work to make it the best experience for their members. Really an excellent gym, in my past six months there I've never had any problems and would highly recommend it to anyone who would like to start exercising.
They doing their best for an old gym...not like Glen Marais Virgin Active or close Benoni
Have been struggling for two months to cancel my membership. Very unhelpful
We had a membership at Klerksdorp Virgin Active, the gym was dirty, pool was not clean, bathrooms was smelly… Due to this we cancelled our membership just to struggle for over a year to do so !! So we paid for a membership up until now that we did not use, every-time we called we were just put through to someone else and so it went on. Poor service, unqualified staff
I love virgin active no matter where it is, and klerksdorp wasn't any different. It has state of the art equipment, aerobics, a pool and a studio for spinning amongst other things. The steam room and showering facilities are always in good condition and clean. The only problem I have with Virgin Active as a whole is its inflexibility when it comes to day passesor how expensive they are R200+ when you are only passing through another town for 3 days and you don't want national access. It's such a problem.
A very nice Virgin Active, the gym and the the clients are very serious gym members. A nice pool with limited lanes. Very nice weigjt and cardiovascular section including equipment some of the other Virgin Actives don't have anymore.
