There are a few important notes. Never visit during peak times, severe overcrowding. I cannot stress this problem enough overall. This virgin in particular has a small weights section. Also, very important, during load shedding all the door and windows are closed for some clever SA reason. Yes it's virgin - but it's virgin south Africa. Different standard.

Virgin Active is the most expensive, most unreasonable and honestly i wish i never got a membership nor my boyfriend. My boyfriend had an month to month contract. They never gave him a proof of his contract. He cancelled his contract January 2023, and paid a cancellation fee he was told to pay. Now end of May 2023 he got am email telling him he needs to pay a extra cancellation fee before the 20th otherwise their legal team will come in contact with him.. This is extremely unprofessional and they want to rob you from your money in daylight. I would never recommend anyone to a virgin active ever.

Wors front desk staff , They are rude , was there this morning and the lady at the desk was utterly rude . I pay a a tone to gym at Virgin active all over the country just to feel like the staff at this gym doesn't want other club members to gym here. Regards Leon

This is as good as it gets I guess. They have every facility and machine or piece of equipment you can dream of. Facility is quite clean and well kept. Places like the steam room and sauna can use some work. These are often in a state of disrepair and none of the staff really check that the rules are followed here. I have at more than one occasion had to skip those facilities when I found people using them in the nude. The rules clearly state that you have to wear clothing. Reporting this to reception is a waste of effort.

Machines out of order for weeks, no provision for loadshedding, They took away the Tan Can and Fat Masuring Machine without replacing it. Sure you will get more value for money at another gym.

This gym is super awesome. Staff are friendly and helpful. Feels like a big family everytime i go there. Love it. Keep up the great work guys. The classes are awesome, variety of options to choose from spinning, yoga, grid etc

Great place, loved the pool.

Since day one I have problems with debit orders. Not getting good service from call center and not getting back to me. It's a shame because I loved the gym but will cancel due to people not doing they work properly.

Not great service. Why Richard Branson don’t provide loadshedding lights all over the gym is beyond me. Why should the gym close and why should swimming classes stop if the gym can’t go buy loadshedding lights??? I have asked at reception and even suggested buying. Still nothing.
