Old equipment, swimming pool water was cold and slippery. Waterfall Branch is better than this. Regarding kids: They allowed my kid only 1 day 10 min as a favour. I would like to request to change the policy. kids need more time at least a week to get habituated to the kids zone environment. 10min is not enough. Hope they understand.
In terms of facilities it is good, there are classes, weights, cardio machines and a kids room. In terms of service it is a hit and a miss. Some of the staff go over and above, some have a sour attitude and makes you go in circles to sort out simple administrative issues.
The entire gym is FILTHY!!!! No sign of the cleaning staff rotating across the floors to tidy up. The stretch area is super dirty! cant trust the floor to put my sweat towel or water bottle :
Best one in Midrand in terms equipment relatively new and more variety, service is above average, has a Kauai for those discovery achievements.
Friendly staff, would suggest adding more paper towel racks and sanitizer for sanitising stations.
Decent gym, updated equipment. Bathrooms, showers specially, could do with an upgrade.
This is one great body lab with different facilities/equipments suitable for a wide variety of exercises.
I love this gym for leg day. They have sufficient squat racks & smith machines, plus 2 lying leg curl machines just to name a few. No need to queue for equipment which is quite honestly a bliss. They have a squash court, which is a touch most virgin actives don't have. It would be nice though if they had a splash pool.
Like all Virgin Active branches, it is painfully obvious that every piece of equipment in the gym is the cheapest they could find. Even the generator, which seems to fail frequently
This club is nice and spacious, spread across two floors. It has a great atmosphere due to the racial, age and gender diversity of members, which is probably reflective of the surrounding communities. If you are visiting the province or new in town and want a place where you'd just fit in, I recommend it. Equipment, staff and even members are on point.
