Stayed there for 5 days and I have to say it is completely worth it. It's really affordable and you get an amazing room, friendly hosts, a good location that isnt far from the beach, a shopping centre, and a good neighbourhood. Would definitely visit Virginia Forest Lodge again and I would highly recommend it to anyone going to North Durban Rooms: Really good rooms for the price you pay. Safety: I felt very safe here and all the locals told me it is safe to walk around Walkability: Not too far from the beach, and in walking distance from Glenore Shopping centre
Really enjoyed our stay there, clean, safe, nice Location. Great, helpful staff. Josh and his brother who run the place really go the extra mile to ensure that you have a great stay. Would highly recommend this placeRooms: 5/5
The place was nice. It’s the same as in pictures, no false advertising. It was peaceful and the area was also quiet. I would recommend. We had a nice 3 night run stay with my partner. I would go againRooms: 5/5
We were 3 couples visited Virginia forest. We enjoyed and Jared, Josh and Samke were friendly. Rooms were Clean. Enjoyed the pool and kitchen the most. The place is safe. Room 1 should fix shower door and a bathroom window. Room 3 pls improve fix shower door and change bed.Pillows are so comfortable. We wish to come back. Everything is closer even the beach.

Our experience was nothing besides the best . The whole experience was as if i was in my own home and the managers helped us feel at home and comfortable. They provided board games for during loadshedding and the food was great , even the serving that they did and the variety they offered .The rooms were clean and comfy with a nice view and air con . I would definitely come back again !!!
We were met with very friendly personel who helped us with all our luggage. We booked on Agoda and had no problem with communication with our host. We were upgraded without no hazzle. Stunning place and very quiet. Felt safe and had a good stay.Rooms: 5/5

I had such a great stay at Virginia forest lodge. I visited Durban on a business trip and stayed for about a week and it was nothing short of amazing. The managers were very attentive and the staff was really friendly. Thank you for the wonderful breakfast aswell as doing my laundry. I didnt even feel like leaving my room it felt just like home. Thank you Jay and the Team
Management need to have a more hands on approach as my queries regarding the following met with little or no response: No TV reception No bottled water No coffee, sugar or milk No headboard, lying with my head against the wall This establishment is by no means a 4 star establishment. It is shabby and sadly neglected. As a business man to Durban I will most definitely not recommend this place. Website says breakfast is an extra R75, I asked about breakfast but got a non committal response. Totally disgusted.
