A lovely setting but very much hotel food, the tomato soup had no flavour and the steak came with a cold sauce and over salted vegetables. It might have been a one off but not a very thrilling experience, one upside is they allow you to order a wide variety of things that are not on the menuFood: 2/5
Not impressed at all. The place was empty..... I thought we were early, turns out that was not the reason. The food really was not good. I ordered the baby chicken with chips, the chips was cold, chicken was drenched in chilli sauce but had absolutely no taste. It was like it was boiled and covered in sauce.... all for R185. Also ordered the prawn starter @R145, it came with 3 tasteless half raw prawns, the white sauce had no taste, sent it back didn't even ask for a new 1. My partner ordered the Chicken Carne pasta, that was okay. Good portion size and atleast it had flavor. I wont be going there again.
Came with my wife to celebrate Anniversary but didn’t come up to our expectations at all. The service was good though but food wasn’t upto the mark considering it’s a 5 star hotel/restaurant. The bread along with olives came as complimentary but to our shock the bread was under baked and still had raw dough like characteristics. See the pics for details. I had ordered prawn stir fry which had 4x PCs and wife ordered Chicken Fajita which was good but a bit sweet for Mexican cuisine. Overall not so great could have been better! For dessert we ordered Pavlova which was okayish!!
If you’re looking for a private romantic dinner for two, Vivace’s with its magnificent views of Sandton on the 13th floor of the Radisson is perfect for you! The stunning business lounge is adjacent to the restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful. The ambience is lovely with a European feel, owing to the decor and overall look and feel of the hotel. The food is delicious, fresh ingredients and well prepared. I didn’t enjoy the hangar steak not my favorite cut but the chef obligingly replaced it with a sublime fillet steak. Overall an enjoyable experience.
The views from the restaurant are amazing -- its all the way up in the 13th floor. The service is just okay, food is really. The atmosphere is very elegant, great look and feel. Food presentation is on point as well. The prices are more on the higher end, so have a good budget for this one.
Have ordered chicken burger with fries under parmejano, simply TOP, seeing how food artists are busy with work by grilling meat under fire is fantastic. View from 13th floor is great as well. Definitely recommended.
Decided to treat my wife for her b-day today and called up the restaurant before the time take make sure they are open for service. My wife has been wanting to visit this establishment for a while now. Arrived and was advised to have a seat however everyone seemed confused as if they suppose to be closed. There was no other guests besides us. My wife and I got seated and spent close to an half hour without any assistance or acknowledgement from anyone until I called for a manager from the hotel staff. A manager, Dorcas left to look for the manager on duty and left for quite some time, my wife and I ended up leaving without having lunch with a huge disappointment for lack of service or making up for the bad welcome. Other patrons that arrived were assisted which was even more saddening. Needless to say, I would not recommend anyone to visit this restaurant.

Ordered the Tbone steak, Medium rare. For the price the steak was poorly prepared, some parts were well done and chewy, taste was pretty average. Took a takeaway and the food came wrapped in foil, very clumsily done. Not impressed at all.
