Love the interior design and would love to take their glasses home. The steak we had was good, but not particularly special or different. The seafood pasta though was amazing. Desserts were also quite interesting. I really enjoyed the food and the vibe here and will definitely return with family and friends.
This restaurant is amazing. It’s part of “Marble Group” and a sister restaurant to Marble where we also dined during our visit to Joburg. Saint was superb from menu to drinks to desert, entrees, service and vibe. They have excellent support for Gluten Free dietary needs. We tried an array of choices from the menu. Highlights were: -Octopus -Mussels -Oysters -Gluten Free wood-fired pizza -Springbok I’m sure everything else on their menu is wonderful and had we the time, we would have loved to try it all!
This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! The ambiance is very welcoming and charming.Delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine &cocktail list and wonderful dessert. I highly recommend a visit to everyone! I'm definitely coming back. It’s a great experience. The Staff is extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. Been to Saint recently to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The food and service was once again world class for us. We never had a moment where we had to start thinking about when our next order will arrive. All this along with some great wine made for an amazing evening. Even with prices above average, I believe its good value with evening in consideration and would highly recommend Saint again.
Let's start with the positives. Amazing food! Def 5/5. Instead of chips they serve amazing potato cubes that are crunchy and tasty. Almost all the dishes have they own twist on the flavors. Will happily go again for the food. Not so positives: The service is not bad but not the best. The service staff are always in a rush and speeding past. That is because there are so many tables to cover. The tables are so many you sit so close to other people and there is little space between groups. Then you get bumped by the speeding service staff. Due to the large crowds, the noise levels are higher than all the upmarket restaurants in the area just listen to the background sound in the videos. In addition, the other part of the restaurant is a club with very loud music and even larger crowds of party people. The large crowds also lead to long queues at the bathrooms. Interestingly, in a table near us there was a wedding proposal in all that noise. Not the best place for a wedding proposal or romantic dinner for two because you will have to scream at each other. Ideal for dinner with multiple people and for celebrations. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at night. Not the best for family dinners because of the music and busyness. More suitable for adults. Parking: Plenty of safe parking in the basement of the Marc. Not expensive - less than R10 an hour.
Amazing quality of the food. The Wine List has some nice diamonds as well. Love the atmosphere and the Service. From being welcomed, seated at a table, the Service at the table it is an amazing experience. If you are nearby highly recommended.
Trendy, upmarket and classy eatery around Sandton. Absolutely love the interior of this place and the mood it gives off. Closest thing to a Neapolitana pizza I’ve had in SA, however the dough base was not as soft, and the crust was a bit too hard. That being said we’re not in Europe and the pizzas still taste amazing, and the service and atmosphere inside the dining area is impeccable.
Great experience. We were a group of 10 with a mixture of friends and colleagues. Incredible place, really fun, exciting place with a superb menu and awesome service. Would definitely recommend. The lamb chops were out of this world!
This place was one of the few that was open when I landed in Jo-burg late on a week night. Customarily, I order a simple pepperoni pizza as a baseline for a restaurant. This one was pretty good. Brick oven, high heat, fast. Thenplaxe itself was more like a night club, so the atmosphere was loud and not very inviting for a guy just looking to eat. But the place looked nice. Service was fast and friendly - which is standard for Johannesburg.
Absolutely delicious! Very classy, Well mannered staff and well taken care of location. Highly recommend this restaurant.
