Voir Art Gallery represents a selected number of fine artists; exhibiting their works at art events and online.
Voir Art Gallery was founded in 2005 by sisters-in-law Olga and Marinda Maritz. The gallery was situated in Brooklyn Design Square in Pretoria, and hosted bi-monthly contemporary art exhibitions by upcoming artists. The curators had an eye for talent, and in 2006, the now world famous artist Lionel Smit, had a solo exhibition at Voir. With the onset of the recession in 2007, Voir turned its operations to that of a commercial gallery, exhibiting then established artists like Munro, Bosch and Jeannie Meiring.
When a fire destroyed part of Brooklyn Square in 2007, Voir opted to change their operations to that of an art agency, promoting selected artists by managing their distribution, websites, social media and exhibitions.
Keeping up with the exponential exposure to excellence in the art world, Voir is committed to exhibiting artworks by only the finest modern and contemporary artists. Not neglecting tomorrow's finest, Voir develops upcoming artists through sponsorship and promotion.
VFAG (Voir Fine Art Gallery) promotes artists and their art at the various annual decorex exhibitions, distributes art to various other galleries, and operates as an online gallery 24/7.
