Booked a sunset champagne sail on the schooner Esperance. Got to the dock only to find it out of the water and being worked on with no hope of being in the water anytime soon. Went to the office and they said “you are not interested in a catamaran sail?”. No apologies or explanations at all. A catamaran is not even close to the schooner sail experience. I only booked this company because of the schooner sail offering. Very disappointed in the lack of contact, the non transparency and the non caring attitudes. The ONLY reason I gave this 3 stars was because we did the catamaran since we had no other options, and the boat team was great. Jan and Isabelle made it a good trip, the drinks kept flowing, the music was good, and the Captain took us out around the wall for a good sunset and ride despite it being pretty windy and choppy. The boat crew was fabulous, but the office team and communications needs major improvement. Not good business practice.
Looking for something to do, please try out the Waterfront charters. Their crew is incredibly funny, they host amazing cruises and yet totally professional. An absolutely great way to spend an afternoon.
We booked Sunset Champagne Cruise online in advance. Great views of Cape Town during sunset.
What a beautiful experience. The crew was absolutely awesome . We didn't get to see the whales, but the ocean was beautiful with spectacular views, of course.

Online booking was easy. And I think the hour and a bit cruise was good value for money. It's a lovely trip out of the V&A Waterfront and around Granger Bay. The times for departure is adjusted according to the season's sunset hour. The staff are incredibly friendly. We received two glasses of sparkling wine each not champagne. But that's no fault of the Charter company as most South Africans term our sparkling wines "champagne". One must remember to take along a jacket or blanket, as it gets very cold, very quickly. The trip is very smooth, so there's little chance of feeling sea sick.
The trip was great. The length of the ride was perfect, the scenery beautiful and well worth the money spent. The relentless music on the boat was however loud and noisy and not to my taste at all.
Super nice boat trip!!! Perfect duration, and really enjoyable with Jan, Daniel and captain Hilton!! We saw dolphins and sea lions!
Great experience. Wonderful 31st evening experience on Serenity One.
Lovely trip with our kids, aged 7 and 9. Attentive crew. Sails went up for a bit. Recommended.
