The staff try their best but it's pockets of excellence to be honest. The process of collecting licenses is disorganized and not well communicated some paint on the ground or a sign saying where to qye would change this so quickly took me 2 hours to collect a license but hey I got it would have been quicker if they were more organized in the back

Standard government institution. Staff can be friendlier, efficiency can be improved, anyway no surprises.

The queues weren't too long and one got helped pretty quickly. Sadly the payments took a bit longer due to a slow system. The ablutions were reasonably clean except there is no access to the handicapped toilets as it was locked. Security cameras around the main building dont work, with one even having a wasp nest on it. So security is a bit lacking. Staff are helpful and friendly.

What a pleasant surprise Waltloo licensing centre was. I had a 10:10 appointment for a drivers license renewal today. I arrived 1 1/2 hours early. The security lady was very helpful and told me to go straight ahead to the reception to complete my registration document. I got allocated a number as my eye examination was done before I arrived. The examiner who helped me, Diana Hlongwane was very friendly and very hepful. I finished with her within 10 minutes. The payment line was long but was moving. All and all it was a smooth and stress free experience. Well done Waltloo Licensing Centre.

Was helped 30min before my appointment. Took a total of 45min. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. The bribe to get your license after 6 weeks is R200 so bring cash.

The most corrupt institution I know

RUDE & UNFRIENDLY We were treated with disrespect and felt very unwelcome. I couldn't pay for my Driver's Test because the air-conditioning is broken causing the workers to strike. So sad to see what became of our country :

Not nearly enough personnel and those that are there will see you, turn around and leave you standing for up ro half an hour before returning to their desk and atempt to assist you without referring you to another clerk, who will just send you back to the person you just left. The facilities are also not very clean and the gardens/surroundings are unkempt and not being attended to.

I was asked for a bribe within the first 5 minutes of getting there. Do I have to even continue? Go to a private company to manage your licence and registration needs if possible at all.
