This train station is a bit of a ghost town, situated between Old Mutual's fields and Maitland cemetery. From Voortrekker Road, one must actually walk through the cemetery to get to the station. This is not always safe during off peak hours. Though there are security guards at the station, one must still be vigilant. There is no ticket counter or toilet facilities.
