A beautiful nature walk and bike park between luscious trees and water streams with a forest feel in the middle of the city. There are 2 steep inclines on the short 5km "purple" trail, but it is bearable even if you aren't fit. Dogs are welcome and there's even a menu for them and water bowls all over at the restaurant. Bathroom facilities are clean and neat. Coffee and food at the restaurants are delicious and fairly priced. There is a picnic and play area for the kids at Wijntuin. Secure parking area with car guards. Overall a pleasant experience.
Amazing hiking trail. I did the 6km hike and I found it really easy to do. The routes are clearly marked, it is pet friendly and has a restaurant on site. However, I would advise you to book the tables beforehand because they can get fully booked quite quickly.
Went on the 10KM hike trail. Beautiful scenery while you hike. The 10k isn't for the faint hearted because it gets really steep, good thing we had water and snacks to help us keep moving. Most definitely would come back. My only criticism is that when you're about to finish the trail you get lost because the signs are mostly communicating to the ones beginning the hike
Lovely hiking route with a nice restaurant waiting for you at the end of your hike or cycle. It is a bit vibrant, so not exactly for those seeking quiet routes, but that does not make it less worth it. Beautiful scenery and a fair amount of shade along the way, too. Dog-friendliness: Your dogs are welcome to tag along and the restaurant is also dog-friendly and has options for them on the menu.
It's a pretty relaxed place. It has ample greenery and you're never alone on the trails since the trails run/hike/mountain bike cross at some point.
I didn’t joy this hike at all Parking is a problem as the place is very very busy. I wanted to do the 10km hike and landed up only doing 5km as the signs were not clear. Certain parts are poorly marked. The noise pollution from the cars on the highway is horrible! One cannot enjoy the beauty of the trail with so much noise. It’s a real pity as it’s a lovely area.
I absolutely love Wolwespruit as a Mountain Biker! The trails are fantastic and built to perfection. The trails do tend to be a bit more technical in comparison to other bike parks, but it is definitely worth a ride! Restrooms: Bathrooms are fantastic. Dog-friendliness: Hiking trails are pet friendly.
This is an excellent trail, and they have a good restaurant on the ground that you can enjoy after the hike with friends
Great venue for trail runners and mountain bikers alike. Dog friendly with many dogs wondering around off leash. Friendly and helpful staff. Restaurants and entire venue are aesthetically pleasing and close to picturesque natural trails. Good tasting food and frosty cold beverages. Good biking trails which are kiddy Friendly. Some good technical sections as well. Plenty of secured entrance parking with car guards around. Great well stocked Trek bike store on the premises. Everything is easy to find, well marked and therefore a recommended biking trail that is family friendly too.
Lovely hiking trails with a great place to vrab a bite and a drink at before or after your hike. Restrooms: Big and clean Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly. Just please keep your pup on a leash.
