For nearly 20 years and more than 10 cars later me and my family are still buying from Jaques and his team. Every effort is being made to satisfy a client. Looking forward to the next deal.
I traded my car with Zijlstra's Autohouse and they collected my car from JHB drove it to Bloemfontein. The agreement was that they will pay what i owe the bank and give the balance back to me. Suddenly they now claim that there is something wrong with my car and that they have taken it to a mechanic as a strategy not to pay me back my balance. I am now frustrated because they now refuse to pay my balance and they are claiming that they will use the balance to pay the mechanic who is fixing the car. This is not fair because my car was ok when they took it and now they are avoiding to pay the balance by claiming that there is something wrong with my car engine.
Unfortunately I have had very bad experience with this motor dealer and I will advise anyone against dealing with them. I bought a Fiat Qubo from them unseen but recommended by the salesman as the car was clean and in a good condition. The car was delivered to me in Durbanville. On delivery I ask the salesman why is the sparewheel is loose in the boot and his answer was that they must have forgotten to fix it underneath. Well the carrier was missing and I had to purchase the carrier from Fiat. There was a petrol smell and we discovered the petrol tank was leaking. The wiper blades were totally worn away this had to be replaced. I was told by the salesman the battery was replaced. Every morning the battery was flat I took it and had to buy a new battery as the one they put in had a dead cell. Taking the front wheel off I discovered that the wishbone bushes are torn and must be replaced. I took the car to Rolla Fiat and they told me that the replacement of the front brake disk is long overdue and does not meet Fiat requirements. Corresponding with the salesman he told be the car was tested and a roadworthy certificate was issued in December 2021. So I am going to have the car tested again to see if this car is roadworthy and then will take the matter further. No motor dealer may sell and deliver a car that is not roadworthy.
