I would like to give a 0 rating but Google does not allow an rating less than 1. I ordered a wedding cake from this bakery and it was worse than terrible. It arrived packed in shabby boxes and tape, was unfinished and uneven. It started swelling and ballooning and fell apart through the course of the day. The cake itself was dry and inedible. I was robbed of over R7000. No value, poor quality. DO NOT BE SCAMMED LIKE I WAS! Here’s a more accurate picture, the cake fell apart in hours and was held together by drinking straws inside. This is what we ordered vs what was delivered. A far cry. Daylight robbery.
Zolitas is my go to place for cakes, cupcakes, biscuits and soooo much more. She meets all my needs and goes above and beyond. Not only do her cakes etc look absolutely amazing and beautiful they taste great too. I highly recommend zolitas best cakes and goodies in town!
Zolita is by far one of the most talented bakers I have ever met. The cakes she dreams up are spectacular and more importantly, absolutely DELICIOUS! I love following her social media pages to see what new delights she has dreamed up! Every year I order funky cake-pops from her for my birthday and they are always a huge hit! Zolita's cakes are stunning artwork style creations and are super moist , rich flavoured and irresistible. Her wonderful selection of cupcakes and biscuits are any cake lover's dream. Her helpful advice on choicing a design and professional approach makes it a delight to visit her store or use her services.
Zolita is a creative genius! Always willing to go the extra mile and not only do her cakes look amazing they taste delicious too. She really does make the best cupcakes in town too! You really cant go wrong.
Zolita has made cakes for all my children and family’s birthdays, my wedding and also my parents 50th wedding anniversary. She is exceptionally professional and absolutely brilliant in her trade. She’s incredibly passionate and ridiculously talented and it shows in every single cake she creates. They are works of art and wonderful creations and taste divine too! She has never not been able to do exactly what I’ve requested or needed. She’s a personal friend for as long as Ive bought her cakes and that’s going on 9 years. Thanks my friend, you’re brilliant in what you do and continue to awe and wow everyone with your beautiful work. Don’t ever stop!
Thank you Zolita for baking and decorating our dad's phenomenal 84th birthday cake. The golden touch of acorns and oak leaves on the 2-tiered masterpiece, was not only beautiful to look at,but it told a story of our dad's phenomenal life as well. The vanilla and strawberry fillings, and the tastiest sponge made the cake divine. Thank you for making a plan for us to pick it up from Union Square. We will not only highly recommend Zolita, but we will be back for more of your amazing creations.
Zolita's has the most complete product you can desier delicious as well as beautiful. The dedication in each cake is always done with so much passion. I love her work!!!
The cakes are absolutely delicious!! Beautifully decorated and Zolita was so accommodating with our requirements. Have also had biscuits made there which the kids at the party adored!
VEGAN WEDDING CAKE-17 Aug 2019 I arranged a tasting Aug 2018 to confirm flavours & decoration ideas for my wedding 17 Aug 2019 cake. Zolita & I confirmed: vegan, 3 tier, 3 flavours & essence of my cake decoration. I said she could be creative if she kept the essence of us in mind. She was thrilled with that. I'd have bn happy to give 3/4 stars despite my cake only being 1 flavour. I am happy to give credit where it's due-the decoration of the cake was amazing! When I went through today to pick up the cakes, I walked in and greeted both Zolita & the other lady. Both greeted back. The other lady asked if she could help and I said I was there to collect my cakes. Zolita walked up to the counter, picked them up, asked if I was okay to carry them, to which I said yes, handed them to me & she opened the door for me & closed it behind me. Yes, she had apologised for the mistake via e-mails & the fact she offered to & did make the additional cakes in the correct flavours, is appreciated. HOWEVER, not 1 word in the store "so sorry again; I hope you enjoy these cakes;". MANNERS...even if you are busy. 1 star is therefore sufficient.
