17th Street Surf Shop

This place is unreal. The guy behind the counter , even though I had $280 worth of merchandise , insisted that I go across the street to Rite Aid to use the bathroom. I've lived here for 27 years and have spent thousands of dollars at this establishment . I will no longer supper this store ever again !!!

This place has changed a but over the years but still one of my 2 favorite surf shops in Virginia Beach. Friendly staff great tshrits . Brings be back to my teen years.

Victoria is literally the best, knowledgeable, personable, best experience I’ve had in any shopping situation. She needs to get some award or something.

Good selection. Typical beach surf shop vibe. Staff is not super attentive. Landmark surf shop for Virginia Beach and well recognized locally.

Best shop.Manager is the best.. He personally help us pic the right boards and accesories. We will come back. If u value outstanding customer service. This is the place to shop for your surfing needs.

Was ready to spend $400 here. My daughter, who is 11 really needed to use the restroom. We kindly asked the associate if there was a restroom show could use. She simply said “no”. I explained that she really needed to go and she gave me a blank stare. I asked if there was an employee restroom she could use since we were a paying customer. Again we got a simple “no”. No solutions or remorse offered. Considering we are Hispanic I am REALLY hoping this wasn’t a racial thing. Obvious not someone looking for a quick stop, but who knows how she perceives Hispanics. But seems strange…they wouldn’t take care of a high paying customer looking to help out his 11 year old daughter that was in distress. Unfortunate. You all should be embarrassed. Will be taking to social media to express my concerns.

Great local shop with a global reach. The staff are knowledgeable and very friendly. Fantastic selection of apparel for both men and women as well as for surf or skate. Huge Yeti assortment. We will definitely be back when next in town.

Whenever I play tourist in Virginia Beach one of stops is always 17th street for a t-shirt!

Awesome service. I walked in with my boy to get a skate board for him. The sales guy showed us a huge selection and guided my boy through the selection process. Once all the parts were selected, he assembled the board for him and made sure everything is okay. Great customer service, great selection, great experience. I highly recommend this store.

Came in from out of town in hopes of grabbing a new setup and gathering some insight on local spots. Connor hooked it up hassle free and I was enthusiastically able to shred mass waves the next day. Thanks guys
