I lived at the Lofts for 4 years and was very pleased with it. Reception desk and office staff were available, friendly, and helpful. Maintenance requests were filled quickly, and emergency requests were answered and fixed immediately. Neighbors were friendly. The courtyard is well kept and always looks cheerful, even in winter, because of the red furniture in it. Staff and neighbors are dog friendly.
I really enjoyed my time living here...I honestly didn't want to leave but life had other plans! Move in was easy, they help you with everything you need to transfer to your new apartment Internet, address forwarding, movers if needed, BGE etc. The leasing office is super friendly and helpful and available if you ever need anything. I looked at several apartments in Fed, Fells and Canton and I was very happy with my decision to land here. Highly recommend!
Had a really great experience on my tour. Caryl was really helpful and insightful! Searching for a new home is stressful, but she made me feel so comfortable
The customer Service is excellent. I was able to get all of my questions answered. The pricing, location and amenities on site make it a perfect place to live. Friendly office and maintenance staff.
Part of me wants to gatekeep and not tell everyone how amazing this place is so my rent doesn’t go up. BUT, I’ll share. I didn’t think I’d ever find such a nice apartment and complex at such an affordable rate. Rent is very reasonable. There is a covered garage for parking. The apartment is stunning. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances. The manager and staff are SO kind, helpful, and responsive. They plan events for the residents. Maintenance always comes in a timely manner and takes care of what you need. It is truly a privilege to live here they are not paying me to write this, LOL. This complex is Baltimore’s best kept housing secret.
Do yourself a favor and do not move into this building. I have been a resident for a month and already regret it. They market themselves as luxury apartments but there is nothing luxury about them. In the one month I have been here I have had my car broken into from their 'secure garage', had my car towed, and had various maintenance and noise issues. In addition, their leasing agents have no idea what is going on and will lie to you to get you to move in. My and my roommates car was parked in their secure garage which we pay to have spots in and supposedly have security. Both cars were broken into and rummaged through. The leasing agent specifically told me to park on the first floor since they have parking for every floor and the security had my car towed. I had to pay 350 dollars to get my car back. The leasing office refused to refund the money even though it was their leasing agents mistake. The plumbing does not work. There is constant issues with drainage and flushing. The apartment we were given with broken a stove and paint stains everywhere and not even cleaned. The blinds were broken. It seemed like no one did a walk through. There are numerous issues that I keep having to request as well. Lastly, our leasing agent lied to us about a lot of our amenities and things we would have that did not exist
Good price for the location. Some issues with the facilities from time to time in the 2+ years I lived here but nothing ridiculous in my opinion. I had a good experience with my neighbors but I know some tenants are loud after hours. Avoid an apartment facing E Wells because the restaurant crowd can be noisy at night.
***UPDATE AS OF 11/23/19*** Simply put, this is not the same building I moved into two years ago, and not for the better. Excluding the present office and maintenance staff who are friendly, helpful, and hardworking, Lincoln as a property management company is abysmal. It is a low-end property management company that is not the right fit for a building that historically has catered to professionals. While prices have stayed the same or have gone up, you're receiving less for what you're paying. Here are some examples: 1. SOCIALS When WPM managed this property, there would be one social per month that was very well done and had different themes and always included alcoholic beverages think wine and beer. One of my favorites was Taco Tuesday, where margaritas and tacos were provided. Another favorite was an opening season themed event with a live band, hotdogs and hamburgers, and beer/wine. At every event held by WPM, there was more than enough food/drink. I think they sent out emails beforehand, though, to get a proper headcount so that there was enough food/beverages. Now that Lincoln has taken over, the socials aren't nearly the same in large part because I don't think the company adequately budgets for them. There is no alcohol, and the events seem better suited for elementary or high school children. They advertise "light snacks and soda" and sometimes pizza and ice cream. For Halloween, I decided to head down to the common area to get some pizza after seeing the flyer advertising pizza and candy in the common room from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. When I got down there at 5:30 p.m., I saw some of the staff near the front desk, who smiled and told me to help myself to some pizza. When I got there, there were three empty boxes of pizza. Three. For a building with almost 200 hundred apartment units. It's laughable. If you're going to have a social, do it right or don't do it at all and keep your audience in mind. I don't blame the staff - I blame the company for not budgeting appropriately. 2. OVERALL MAINTENANCE/CLEANLINESS When WPM managed 1901, it was immaculately maintained. I never saw a stain on the carpet or a scuff on the hallway walls because there were sufficient maintenance personnel who went through each floor and cleaned it daily. The halls smelled fresh, and I was proud to live here and have people over. This is no longer the case. While, yes, Lincoln did steam clean the carpets in the hallways following my last review, they have not maintained them. Stains continue to accumulate. Now, strange, sometimes putrid smells, waft through the halls on a regular basis. It's not uncommon to smell marijuana smoke in the hallways either. 3. RESIDENT REFERRALS WPM offered residents $1,000 for resident referrals, which, at the time, I thought was a little low considering a lot of apartments offer one month free rent for resident referrals. Lincoln offers a paltry $250. 4. REQUESTS FROM LINCOLN TO DONATE TO ITS EMPLOYEES Other than BGE, I have never come across a company that when I go online to pay a bill, I am asked if I want to donate to a charity it created for its own employees who may be experiencing financial hardship. Lincoln should be ashamed of itself for not paying its employees adequately so that they have enough saved should a financial hardship arise, and for having the gall to essentially ask its customers e.g. residents for money when it provides less for the same cost than its predecessor, WPM. The bottom line is that this property management company isn't the right fit for the demographic paying professionals that this building wants to attract. The owner of 1901 was being penny wise, pound foolish by ditching WPM for Lincoln and not considering the big picture.
I love living here. All of the residents and staff are always friendly and helpful. Maintenance requests can but entered through the online resident portal and are completed by the time I get home from work. The layout of my apartment 1 bedroom The Center is really spacious. Hardwood floors, a spacious bedroom, a balcony, and a great kitchen. I wish the closet had more space, but the bedroom is large enough to put a portable closet. The amenities are wonderful. I love having a gym in the building when I don't feel like leaving the building and the coffee in the resident lounge is so tasty. The courtyard is a great place to relax. During the weekends I can sometimes hear all the fun in my apartment, but honestly it just makes me want to go down and join. Parking is included in rent and certain rent discounts are available. I highly recommend living here!
I am a new resident and I would have to say my experience has been good thus far. The new office staff are very friendly. My maintenance orders have been completed in a timely manner. Other residents here are GREAT!!!! I will admit, things have been a little rocky with the change of management, but things are starting to get better. Plenty to do in the area and prices are very affordable to be in Federal Hill. The new property manager Kelli is wonderful and you can tell she really cares about getting the property in order. Sanari and Ebonee are also very interested in making sure residents are happy here. Keep up the good work guys!!
