Nothing screams worthless to me, than seeing somebody driving while on the phone, and not paying attention to the road or traffic signals because they're too busy on their phone! That right there will keep me from letting their name touch my lips for any reason! Who can trust someone that can't even obey simple laws and common sense! Yeah, you in the white Chevy Cruze with an inflated ego,... just stop It!

After working with this company for over 4 years now in management, I’ve come to realize how challenging private security can be on a supervisory level. From being in private security for over 17 years, I’ve learned it’s impossible to please everyone all the time (employees and clients). Everyone has their own opinions and standards in life, so everyone is not always going to see eye to eye. That said, the owner of this company is well connected and respected by many people in the community, as well as many employees. He has an extensive background in private security and truly knows what he’s doing.
I can’t speak for all of the other employees in the company, but I have always felt appreciated by the owner of the company and our clients. Something I rarely ever felt by many of the larger security companies that I’ve worked for in supervision. Overall, this has been one of the best security companies I’ve worked for because I feel that I’ve always been taken care of and respected by the owner and fellow employees. As a supervisor I’ve always tried my best to be there for our employees, and believe that has gone a long way.
I believe the owner does his best to take care of his employees with comparable wages to other security companies, optional health benefits, job training and accommodation of work schedules when possible. I’ve seen him give chances to people, including myself, when they hit rough spots in life where other companies would not have given them another chance. People have to remember that he has a business to run and he has to survive also, so that alone goes a long way that he has faith in his employees, as to many other companies who just don’t care or don’t have time to focus on individual employees.
Unfortunately, the security field in general attracts a lot of lazy people looking for an easy paycheck. Over the last year, I’ve seen drastic improvements with some of decisions made by the owner and operations with management and hiring practices. People need to realize that issues can’t be resolved properly if they aren’t brought to the attention of management. That goes for employees and clients, as well as the everyday person in public. If we know about the issue, I guarantee you that it will be handled.

On Easter Sunday, one of their "officers" in a company car, followed me all throughout West Chester to my house.
Starting at the beginning...
I was cruising along I75 North when I came across him. I'll admit I was going a little fast, 75 in a 65. We passed 3 highway patrol officers sitting in their little spot just south of the Union Center exit. None of them preceded to pull me over. After they did not pull me over is when this security guard started following me. Initially I tried to speed up and get away from him. I ended up exiting the highway at Cin-Day Rd. I took weird turns and drove quite a ways through West Chester. I called my parents and told them to have a gun ready in case this guy tried to hurt me or something because, at this point, I didn't know why he was following me. He followed me all the way to my house. I immediately called the police when I pulled in the driveway. He pulled around the circle in the street and stopped at the end of the driveway. After a minute, he moved a bit further down the street and stopped again. He waited there for a little bit then turned into the middle of an intersection and stopped again. Each time he stopped, he would just stare up my driveway at me while (he was) talking on the phone. After this, I believe he saw me on the phone (with the police) and took off down the road.
After I got off the phone with the police, three cruisers showed up at my house. I explained to them in full detail what happened. They explained to me that he had called about me driving erratically which is crazy. Anything I did that may have been seen as erratic, he had to have done as well to follow me. I admit I drove quickly at first after he started following me because I wanted to get away. Before he started following me, I had been in the far left lane since I had gotten on the highway at 562; there's no way I was weaving in and out of traffic or doing anything erratic.
I will be trying to contact 1st Choice Security and I will let them know what happened. It is completely unacceptable that one of their security guards would do this to someone.
I was not able to get his name or license plate but I could see he was in his uniform. He was a white man and wearing sunglasses. My guess would be upper 20s to mid 30s.

Terrible customer service, Their employees don't show up to work. The management is known for not paying their employees the hours that they worked. Over all this is the worst security company I've ever came in contact with, I would definitely recommend AEGIS protective services or HSPS over 1st choice.

Really have improved over the last few months. The new chief Kyle seems to have a great grasp on things and the company has come back to together since hes been in charge.
