I live in the area for years and haven’t been here in a while so I decided to try them again. The wings were only 2 1/2 wings / 5 pieces in total. It wasn’t a whole wing was bland yet fried well, the sesame chicken, which I usually love from almost anywhere was I had a taste can’t really can’t explain left my tongue pasty. The house rice was bland. I’m not a big user of soy sauce so I try to just eat it as is I don’t like to add salt. If I don’t really have to usually I don’t, so I just tolerated the rice. Not sure what I paid $44 for. Expensive and not worth it
This place isn’t open anymore and it’s a travesty, I live right near it and it was my favorite spot. I guess the owners decided to retire and good for them! But sad to see it go… RIP To one of the best plates of ginger scallion lamb around Food: 5/5
I'm so sorry this place closed. Yes, their scallion lamb was fantastic, but mostly I'll miss their rice cakes. We always ordered that, no matter what else we were getting.Food: 5/5
People please be aware and have your soup bowl ready, if you are making an order - Cantonese style noodles soup for the delivery, if you working in the office. Because you will have to “fishing” in the tall container- for your ordered soup. Price, I will tell you - very above for the taste of ordered food! Very badly disappointed! Never again will make any orders from this place!
Best sesame chicken around. All white meat. Only comes in 1 order and it's a bit pricey but very worth it. Big enough for 2 people to eat for lunch or 1 hungry person for dinner. Order it extra crispy of you like that crunch. Haven't ate too much else from here although what I have tried was good. If you haven't tried this and love sesame chicken, do yourself the favor.
I have been a long time patron of 86 noodles from back in the day when they were on the corner of 86th St. and 4th Avenue. It WAS MY GO TO PLACE FOR CHINESE FOOD for a very long time. Their best dish was the sesame chicken, it came out the perfect consistency ; nice and crispy while still being savory and just the right amount of sauce. Over the years though, very unfortunately, the QUALITY OF FOOD HAS GONE DOWN significantly. The Sesame chicken now tastes very dry and TASTELESS. If this was 10 years ago I would’ve given it five stars as I was a patron at least once a week. I really hope that sometime soon they will get back to the level that made me one of their best customers. Would recommend skipping this place unfortunately.
Cozy spot with tasty, reasonably priced food. I had the curry seafood noodle soup, and it was delicious. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, and they were playing jazz music which I thought was a nice touch.
Love the food here!! I've always been seated right away!! Have been coming here for years!! Lunch special is GREAT!! All the food in my photo, plus soup or soda for $7.00!! 50 cents extra for the shrimp. Lunch Special is: Mon-Sat: 1-4 I believe
Favorite Chinese hands down!!! Best sesame chicken and fried rice!Food: 5/5
I wish I can give zero stars, first of all my wife and I ordered roasted chicken dumplings soup, no pork and it had pork in it which she cannot eat. We also ordered the pan fried noodles and it was horrid! The sauce was too much and was overpowering. The beef was also very chewy. After a couple bites we had enough and wanted to get out ASAP. Asked for the bill and paid and left. This is the worst part! We did not leave a tip because not only was the food horrible, we weren’t even offered a glass of water or was even checked on for the duration of the time we were there. The waitress chased after my wife and I in the street saying we didn’t leave a tip and that we have to leave a tip. Let’s just say I will never set eyes on this place again. Worst restaurant experience of my life!!!!
