I've traveled around China for six weeks, eating all across the country. I'll occasionally even make the 1.5 hour trip to Flushing for dim sum when there are guests to treat. My point is, I know Chinese cuisine pretty well. For American Chinese takeout, this spot will truly make you happy, maybe even elated, but "Elated Garden" just doesn't have the same ring to it. The portions are gigantic - I ordered a sesame chicken, beef and broccoli, and garlic eggplant, and expect to get at least four meals where I overeat out of it. These pictures are after my partner and I started eating. We were too hungry.
I'm very picky when it comes to Chinese food. It's hard to find a place where you can get delicious food. This is one of the few restaurants that has that clean crisp in the fried chicken and the rice was very good . I totally enjoyed it ! I will definitely come back
The Best tasting Chinese Cuisine in all of Brooklyn. Fair prices, great service, very friendly staff. Happy Garden is Total PERFECTION. Stephen Lepore
Supper annoyed with this place. went in to get a order for dinner. they took my order, took my money told me to come back in 10-15 mins. I come back in 15 they are closed gate locked, and no one answering my call, call the next day they answer the phone but the store is still closed i still haven't gotten my money back!!! They havent been open for days...
The workers are really nice and the food is absolutely phenomenal. Highly recommend.
Run by lively and friendly people from Fujian I believe that's what they said, their dialect is neither Cantonese nor Mandarin and we couldn't really understand each other. Very flavorful food for the price. The wontons have barbecue pork in them which is a plus to me.
Really great food at a fair price. The dumplings are really flavorful and the white rice is the perfect sticky consistency. The beef lo mein is a big serving even for the pint and it lasts me two meals, which is perfect for taking to work for lunch the next day.
I like Happy Garden's staff, real nice, friendly people. And I love the way they make vegetables with fresh garlic! My favorite are broccoli with fresh garlic and string beans with scallops. The menu has million good choices!
We had a tough time looking for a new restaurant with quality Chinese food. Finally, after trying several, we found a winner. Happy Garden is it. Food is fresh, vegetables - crisp , meat - tender, and everything else -perfect. This is our go to restaurant now. 5 stars!
There’s quite a few of options around this neighborhood. But this is the best! Not drowning in soy sauce...meats are not dried out...and they have fried crab sticks - I love this place!! Help them stay in business but patronizing them if you need take out.
