Story

For its mission to serve as "Bushwick's Living Room," 983 is perfectly situated in the neighborhood's beating heart, amid long-entrenched families and throngs of young creatives. The bar is reliably busy with a hungry and discerning crowd of regulars who appreciate the cozy, simple and low-key atmosphere as a respite from their daily hustle. The art on the walls is sourced from the neighborhood, to which the restaurant thankfully provides delivery services.

Brunch is a favorite at 983, its menu boasting one of Bushwick Daily's top 10 biscuits, a beloved eggs benedict platter with pescetarian and vegetarian variants, and chilaquiles, a nod to the neighborhoods Mexican population. The all day menu features finessed versions of hole-in-the-wall favorites like Philly cheesesteaks, fried fish and burgers.
