Stopped off at this pub and was quickly enamored with the charm and history. Bartender was great as was the ambiance. Looking forward to returning in the near future!
Nice place. Very homey. Made you definitely have the feeling of being at someone’s home. Decorated nicely for Christmas. Loved the big doggie of course. The only issue I had was a nasty patron who yelled at all of us to not close the door behind us. Which out of respect when you leave you shut the door. At that point I felt very uncomfortable I couldn’t wait to leave!!
Great little hole-in-the-wall neighborhood dive bar. Bottled beer and mixed drinks from friendly and attentive staff. Cheap prices, but bring cash!
Beautiful and friendly dog in the bar. Very cozy place to grab a beer.
Great prohibition neighborhood bar.
We went on our own dive bar tour and this was one of our stops. First visit. What a great local bar! Tons of history. Nice selection of beers. Definitely will visit again.
This is a Detroit classic that needs to be on your list of historic Detroit bars.
This is a special place unlike any other I have been to. A slice of old Detroit still alive and well. The drinks are great the beer is cold but it's the atmosphere that really sets this place apart. The cigar lounge is wonderful, well ventilated, cool and the walls are covered in historic DPD artifacts. I have been to a few events here which never disappoint. Also the door man is the best around. The outside seating area is nice and spacious when the weather is right and Eric brings in some serious talent to cook several times a year. Do yourself a favor and get down here!!
Still the best "Dive Bar" around. Love this place.
One of the best neighborhood bars in Detroit. Eric and the crew are amazing and accommodating.
