Rip off artists The place honestly wasn't horrible while I lived there. Management tended to be a bit sketchy, but the complex wasn't bad. I rented a little 400 square foot studio with hard floors, which is awesome as it makes cleaning easier. It was quiet and the neighbors were usually nice. Parking was a bit of a nightmare. With the studios you can't park out in front of the apartment because of the way it's situated. My catalytic converter was stolen one night which I didn't catch because my car was out of my sight. Okay, I survived. My issue is coming now! I put up a 500 dollar deposit when I moved in plus a "non refundable" 300 dollar pet deposit for my two cats both fixed and use the litterbox faithfully. My cats did damage the blinds and I conceed to that. When they did the pre move out inspection the manager just told me to patch nail holes and such. I had mentioned something about it being difficult to match the paint color and she laughed and said they would repaint anyway because they were painting all the apartments grey. Can you imagine living in a 400 square foot grey studio with hard floors. Be kinda like being in prison. As they left she stated that I had "taken very good care of the apartment!" Not one word about a "pet urine smell" which I can assure you didn't exist! Now I went to check my mail, fully expecting a check for the reminder of the deposit, and I get a list of trumped up charges including 275 dollars for "complete repainting due to pet urine smell!" Talk about a scam! They were planning on repainting in the first place and found a way to charge me for it! I won't even mention some of the other BS charges. This is already long. Suffice it to say I didn't get one thin dime of my deposit back! Nice work keeping their claws around my deposit! Total scam artists! Rent at your own risk! Honesty is really not their thing!
I am haveing trouble.. I am a diabetic and my stove went out and then I went to the office. Ive been waiting until closeing time. Ive been with out a stove since over the weekend and no one responded as of yet.. Not a great rating at this apartments. Today is 01/31/2022. Had a very Stern , voice to the office , they decided to not renew my lease only because I requested a water heater In my home. Omg. It's a 1980 water heater leaking. Really!
These apartments are terrible and the management is even worse!
This place is awful. My roommate and I have been here since August of last year and I wouldn't move back or stay if my life depended on it. My roommate moved in before I did and the first two weeks he was here, the apartment flooded from the air conditioner. We were rushed into a broken unit that has leaked and fallen apart since. Our lease ends in December and once again we're flooded. This the first time all lease that emergency maintenance actually came and did work on a weekend nonetheless without telling us they were on overtime or that they already fixed what was clearly still broken. We've gone through managers at a rate of one per month now and whenever we've asked for repairs we've been ignored. We were told we won't be seeing repairs or follow up til Monday today is Sunday and we're furious. Their neglect has caused mold and the walls to bubble out. It's a damn shame how good they lie to get you to move in all just to force you into living in disgusting chaos.
I have never had a problem living here. Clean looking apartment and landscape. Management is always prompt and professional with my repairs, I’ve lived here the past year and a half, I love the area it’s located. Shopping centers, great food, even a gas station!
Academy Square Apts was the perfect place to call my home for nearly 2 years! Close to shopping and great places to eat. I felt safe and my neighbors were all so friendly. Management was prompt with repairs and office staff was always very kind. Thank you ASA for a great 2 years, I’m off to the west coast!
I would give 0 stars if I could. My 2 Autistic sons 5 and 6 were guests there at swimming pool. Brought there by their ABA Therapy Teachers. My Autistic 6 year old had to go potty and politley asked. The management refused to let him use their bathroom. They were told he's autistic and the manager responded "I don't care not my problem"... Horrible scum place
not a great place to live. they tell you one thing and another. there always new management. the office manage is rude and is always in your business doesn't matter who you are. they charge for shampooing and clean up fee which is an extra 200$ after your lease is up.
I do not recommend these apartments to anyone. They new property manager is the rudest person I have ever encountered in the customer service field. They do not care about their tenants at the Academy Square Apartments. Don't rent here, or you will regret it.
They can't keep an office manager. You can only pay online where they charged my account twice several times. Little's kids are always running around with out adults and homeless are constantly in the parking lot. There are several register offender living there and acrosed the street.
