Story

Acura Of Salem is part of Donofrio Dealerships, a group started by Don Donofrio in 1962 with his first dealership, Skyline Ford. The family-owned business has expanded over the past five decades to include a number of makes, with Acura Of Salem opening in 1989. This was just three years after Acura models were first offered to the American marketplace, making Acura Of Salem the premier dealership to offer the brand to Willamette Valley and Salem drivers.

Don Donofrio is now enjoying a hard-earned retirement, but his legacy lives on as Acura Of Salem is now being run by Jim Donofrio and his son Brian (BJ) Donofrio, allowing the tradition and values to continue on in this family-owned and operated business. It’s clear they are doing something right, because after more than 20 years, the dealership is still running strong.

The Donofrio family attributes their success to a strong work ethic that is passed down from generation to generation, and their personal automotive enthusiasm, particularly when it comes to exotic and vintage models. Their goal is to pass on this love for imported vehicles not only to the employees that work at Acura Of Salem, but to the customers who stop by.
