Addendum

I visited this store several weeks ago to buy a gift as I love their merchandise. However while I was there a man who appeared to be owner or manager Shane? was publicly and loudly criticizing the kind women employees on the way they input a transaction . It was so humiliating for them and it was not deserved. It was so uncomfortable being in the store we left did not buy what I intended I’ve shopped here before and the ladies who work there are fantastic. Sadly I can’t bring myself back to a place who treats their employees with so little respect.

Very few items have the price listed. I purchased a pair of readers along with a few notecards, and after I walked out of the store, I realized the readers were $89. I walked back into the store less than 10 minutes later and told the sales lady I did not know they were $89 and would like to return them. She said, “sorry, no returns, only store credit” she then said, “I’m not the owner,” and when I asked to speak to the owner, she told me, “sorry, you can’t, he’s in Europe right now.” Besides the fact that she was haughty and cold, I was taken aback by the unwillingness to accept a return less than 10 minutes after purchase by the same saleslady. --The owner subsequently sent the message below, which I appreciate. I am from out of town, so, unfortunately, what is done is done, but I do appreciate the response. The store is beautiful with beautiful products on display.

Love this gift shop. The perfect place to pick up a card or a present.

The store itself is what you'd expect of a boutique store but there is a male employee that was very rude. I was there today with my friends, one of whom is visibly disabled. This man stared at her throughout the store & continued to do so as we walked down the street. He & another blonde employee about 20 min. after we left the store then took a picture of my disabled friend as they were driving past us. They were incredibly rude!

Make sure you are aware of the return policy when purchasing a gift. I tried to return apparel that was given to me as a gift two days after Christmas with the tags still on it and couldn't even exchange it for another item in the store. This is bad business to not even give store credit after Christmas. I guess I understand a small store not giving cash back, but not store credit?? There were other things in the store that I would have loved. What kind of a business model is this during the holidays??? I wouldn't buy a gift there unless the person you are buying for is right there with you and tries it on.

I purchased a MacKenzie Childs tea kettle a couple of years ago; and, only recently purchased a lamp from the Keystone store and a pillow from the Carmel store. Enjoyed the shopping experience; much to choose from. I am looking forward to returning to see what else I can't seem to live without. :

WARNING- inconsiderate business practice I met Shane at the NY NOW trade show, where he placed an order of hand blown glassware of over $2000 retail value, some of which I custom made just for him. Upon timely delivery of the order, it was refused and sent back to me leaving me to pay the shipping for both ways, about $100. It’s bad enough when a client cancels an order after it has been produced, but to allow me to ship it and then not accept it is completely inconsiderate. In the “about us” section of his website, Shane gives the impression that he genuinely cares about the artists that he represents in his gallery. This is a joke. Over the last few weeks, I have been calling, leaving voicemails, and emailing many times. No one is getting back to me. Shane, you should contact me. If you are a vendor considering doing business with Addendum, be warned.

Really zero service at all. Walked in and didn’t look up from phone or smile. I said bye, thank you. No response. Really a don’t think I’ll be back.

I just happened upon this wonderful store, and dropped in to look around. One word - Wow! An excellent choice for special purchases and gifts. I bought 2 beautiful gifts and can't wait to return. Elegance at its best, and the service was superior.

Wonderful store with a large selection of up market gifts that are not found anywhere else in Indiana. Helpful staff that really know their stuff! My go to place for gifts and candles & jewelry for me!
