I’m not signing up with ADT after one visit at my warehouse. The sales rep who showed up was kind of all over the place and I did not feel comfortable he really knew what the hell he was doing. A local company send over a good old boy who knew exactly what was up with the building within 5 minutes and how to get it hooked up correctly immediately with TWO panels not one, ADT guy who couldn’t grasp the layout. No notes, no second walk around the property, just straight to the point. I went with the good old boy.
Sean is probably one of the best and friendliest ADT Sales/Technicians I’ve met with ADT. I’ve had bad experiences with ADT in the past when it comes to customer service but Sean makes it known to do what he can for his customers to ensure their happiness. He may have very well saved my business with ADT. I will be requesting his service specifically if I am able.
Update: Trying to cancel service with this company and the hold time to cancel is 59 minutes. Requested ADT signs for my yard 2 months ago to replace my old Ackerman signs and still haven't received a single sign. Also, if your system breaks or stops working, they won't send out a repair technician for almost a week. Horrible company with horrible service! In order to cancel my service, I had to message someone at Facebook who gave me a secret email to reach a human being. Despite their failing service, they tried to force me into a 30-day notice period. I ended up having to do a charge back via my credit card. Plus, they made me write a handwritten letter and sign it and scan it into my computer and email it to them to cancel the service. Avoid this company! They do not care about their customers, it's all about the money and trying to force you into keeping their service.
Zero stars would be more fitting. ADT is trash. They poorly install the equipment and have no concerns when the alarms go off. The equipment stops working after only a month, but you can't get in contact with the proper department and they have no concerns for fixing the issues. After waiting to speak with someone for over an hour, they finally come on but hang up the phone. They talk a good game till they get you in a contract and then take your money every month without actually providing the services promised.
Tech was nice. However, trying to get anyone on the phone to resolve a return for a defective part was awful. Multiple calls, emails and hours spent on hold while being transferred to the wrong department over and over again.
Brandon Wilkinson w/ADT has been the best sales rep/employee I’ve ever dealt with at the business. He was patient, understanding, and always seem like he was available. Chris our technician did an excellent job installing our system. Thanks ADT!
Terrible alarm service. Kind, but useless, customer service. ADT recently acquired my Ackerman home security account. Since then they have robocalled me daily with a recorded message saying my system wasn’t sending a signal during their test. After a few of these calls I waited 20+ minutes on hold to run a test with the rep on the phone. Signal was received. The robocalls kept coming daily. Waited on hold 30 minutes to schedule a video call with the service department. I left work early to be home for the call. Thirty minutes after my appointment time, I hadn’t gotten a call. The ADT chat agent suggested waiting longer. So I tried calling. Waited on hold 30 more minutes to be told the calls were running late and to continue waiting. They finally called 1.5 hours after my scheduled time. They could not fix the issue over the phone. They wanted to charge me for a tech to come out. I said I would rather cancel their service. They said to let them work on one thing and put me on hold. Call was disconnected while I was holding.
ADT partners with Ackerman in Atlanta. Do not sign up with this sleazy outfit. If you move, sell your house, Ackerman will do everything possible to prevent you from canceling service. In my case, I am required to tell them a password my previous tenant set. Problem is, the guy is dead. They require a ADT customer number even though they never gave me one, and they won't accept my Ackerman account number. Their Customer service people are rude, condescending and unhelpful.
Brandon was a delight to speak with. Boy do I wish all representatives were like him!!! Wonderful personality and extremely informative. Brandon had answers to all of my questions. He make something I thought would be stressful so pleasant. I feel like my husband and I made a new friend. Thank you Brandon. Thank you AT&T for having such a fine employee.
I have been reaching out to ADT for a month now and all they keep telling me is that "someone will get back to me." The Technician punctured our waste line pipe when installing the security panel. We had a leak through the panel. We had to pay a plumber and now will have to pay to get the drywall fixed. Reaching out to ADT for assistance seeing that their technician did this and all they keep telling me is "the Local branch will reach out to you". In that time my payment for the system has come out on time. How do you put holes in someone's wall puncture their pipe and don't even care about resolving this issue?
