Had a very negative experience with the billing department who was straight up hostile towards me on the phone over a "no show fee". Very odd to treat a brand new patient this way who is getting more familiar with the practice. I received an automated text message about the appointment after the scheduled time. You heard that right - they notified me of the appointment AFTERWARDS and then proceeded to blame me for not showing up and charging me a $50 fee. I've never experienced anything like this at any other doctor's office. It's very clear they do not prioritize their patients or care about building a long term relationship with you.
I was interested in aesthetician services with the hope of also going here for dermatology. Based on my initial “consultation” I won’t be coming back. I wanted to schedule a facial and was told that I need to do a “consultation.” Which is fine. However, during the consultation the aesthetician didn’t even look at my skin which I explicitly asked for while there. It seemed very rushed. Essentially I was charged $75 for two questions….what services are you interested in and do you have any other questions. Not sure why I wasted my time coming to the office downtown if the consultation doesn’t involve looking at my skin and making recommendations. Everyone was nice and I’m sure services are good, but the experience rubbed me wrong. I’ve been going to another spa for facials/peels and will continue to do so. Just thought it would be nice to do those services in a dermatology office.
I almost never leave negative reviews but I really feel like I need to in this case. I have to say I'm so surprised about all these positive reviews. The receptions called me to setup an appointment. She was rushed and rude. After she took down my info I asked if I can expect to receive an email with the address and appointment details. She said I'd have to go online and find the address. I felt very uncomfortable with that response and asked her to cancel my appointment. She immediately hung up the phone on me! I can't believe this was the receptions of a Doctor office.
Dr. Perkins is the best; he has immaculate attention to detail and will make sure that you walk out of his office feeling as though you got the care that you wanted. He always has time to listen and collaborate, and I’ve been nothing but extremely happy with his level of service. He goes above and beyond and truly cares about his patients. Would definitely recommend seeing him for all your dermatology needs.
Dr. Perkins is excellent! He has a great bedside manner and always listens completely. I feel he understands my derm issues, and mindset toward my health. He offers good observations & suggestions. His exam is complete and explanations are clear. The front desk staff is much more pleasant than past, making this quite a nice visit.
Dr Stollar doesn't waste a lot of time with niceties, but takes a straight-forward approach to tell you what to worry about, and what not to. I appreciate his matter-of-fact approach and being able to get into the appointment and out again on my lunch hour. The staff is his office seems to be a lot friendlier and more relaxed since the retirement of a former colleague doctor in the practice and the bringing on of a new one.
Setting up my appointment was quick and easy. I feel Dr. Perkins really knows his stuff. He has a very friendly personality which helped put my mind at ease and made it easy to talk to him and ask questions.
Office staff are courteous and efficient in a friendly manner. My appointment proceeded on time. Dr. Stolar is a superb physician who listens to my needs, responds with warmth, patience and concern.. His assistant provides appropriate prep for Dr. Stolar-an outstanding visit.
The appointment was quick but 15 minutes late because the office couldn’t find my chart. The office helpfully validates parking and informs patients as much, but they don’t say that the validation is partial and parking is still $7. In meeting with Dr. Stolar, I learned that the previous course of treatment was ineffective and not designed to deal with the full scope of the problem. So good aspects, bad aspects, and a mixed bag overall. I look forward to getting my medical problem resolved and still trust Dr. Stolar to help with that.
I have been a patient of Dr. Stolar's for a number of years and have great confidence in him. He is kind, addresses my questions and treats me with respect. The Metroderm DC staff are efficient and thoughtful. I highly recommend this practice.
