Wonderful experience shopping at the African Plum in Plainfield. The shop owners were very friendly and the merchandise was affordable and beautiful. We look forward to shopping there again.
African Plum is my favorite small business to support. I’m never disappointed by the variety and uniqueness of products, the prices, or by the friendliness of the owners. I love this shop and am constantly complimented on the pieces I own from here—it’s always the first words out of my guests’ mouths when they enter my home! I’ll be a forever customer.
LOVE this gem in the heart of Plainfield! I looked all over Avon and Plainfield for a dresser for my guest bedroom to no avail. Decided to visit the African Plum because it had been recommended so many times and I wasn't disappointed! I walked in, fell in love with the perfect dresser, and it was delivered to my home 2 hours later! Super cute shop with exceptional customer service! I will definitely be a lifelong customer!!
This place has GREAT stuff! There's nothing else like this in Plainfield - it's exciting to see a small business like this open up downtown and offer unique items. Lots of great furniture pieces and home decor several that have the farmhouse/Fixer Upper style , and even some accessories like jewelry/scarves. I will be popping in often :

Fun little shop in Plainfield with lots to see. We were able to purchase a couch at a great price and it was delivered quickly to our home. Would definitely purchase here again!

Store hours are posted but doesn't seem to matter because they apparently close whenever they feel like it. This is the 5th time I've driven out here and they're closed. It's 2 o'clock and the posted closing time says 3. I give up. don't waste your time.
