It was so nice trying a new seafood spot. We know AJ's is not new but since this was our first time, it was new to us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection! My hubby and I shared a large chicken and sausage gumbo. He then ordered the fried seafood platter and I ordered the catfish po'boy.  The food was outstanding! The only thing I would have done differently with the po'boy is grilled the bun to give it a little crunch. Good seafood experience. We will b happy to return.

Love this place! The po boys are what I usually get as carry out since it’s down the street from me. Got to dine in for the first time, the gator stuff was really good, didn’t even know they had that! The service was really great also, super sweet and attentive. Food came out quick. Will definitely go back in next time!

The oysters here are really good, our favorite was the Rockefeller. I ordered the shrimp platter with coleslaw and red beans and rice. The shrimp was really good and I loved AJs special sauce. I’ll have to admit the coleslaw and red beans were just ok they both lacked flavor which is why I took off a star. Other than that everything was amazing. The service was quick and good in addition to the food. We will return for sure.

First time visiting, met up with some coworkers for lunch on a Sat afternoon. A small and casual place. Another Cajun place for my list. Great service. Good food and portions. Being good, I had the AJ salad which was very fresh and flavorful. Hope to make future trips on the other side of ATL to try out the other menu items.

The gumbo was as close to authentic gumbo I have ever eaten. It was delicious. The grouper and hush puppies were good as well.Food: 5/5

Visited this restaurant one Sunday when I was in the area. Loved the ambience and decor. It was quite refreshing considering it is a seafood restaurant. The wait staff was kind. I had the blackened scallops with red beans and rice and also ordered a seafood roll, which was my favorite. My daughter had the shrimp po boy, and I must say that if I wasn’t watching the carbs, I would have definitely ordered one for myself. My bite was delicious! The bread was soft and fluffy and the shrimp was seasoned well and fresh. They have a whole list options for po boys. Check them out if you’re in the area.

This was our first time visiting AJs and we are so happy to have found this place! We had the Baked Oyster Sampler, Gator Tacos, Gator Grits and the AJs Sampler and we were very happy with all of our selections!! The portions and prices are more than fair as well. Very good local spot! Prices are great and service was prompt and friendly. We were surprised at how quickly the restaurant filled up just shortly after it opened for the day. Plentiful selection of adult beverages as well as daily specials. Daily food specials are available as well, and there were homemade smoked ribs available when we visited. You seriously can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here!

So disappointed.  This used to be one of my favorites.  They have redone the menus and are now nickel and diming you.  No more sandwich and side.  If you want fries that will be extra.  And they raised all the prices too.  And don't plan on using your credit card without paying a use fee.  They couldn't even reprint the menus.  They xeroxed them and just used a sharpie to write their new prices.  The food is still good but you are going to pay dearly for it.  Good management would have marked up the prices a few bucks and called it a day but they are making it known they are going to squeeze every cent from you.    We won't be back.

Went there yesterday for lunch, OMG SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!  Food, service, everything was awesome.  Key Lime Pie with the Lime Margarita Mousse was excellent.  It was so good before we left there were 3 elderly woman that came in so proper sitting down eating and just having a good time with each other, we anonymously bought them dessert since my wife and I miss our grandmothers.   People great food and atmosphere, worth every pennt.
