AJ's on East Court

For the first time, I went with some friends to AJ's on Court to Karaoke for my birthday. It was such a fun experience. The DJ was on it the whole night and I had a blast! I will be back again soon! Thank you for making my birthday week with my friends so much fun!

The bartenders are great the environment and community that comes in is good my. Biggest problem is the karaoke is severely lacking in songs for a karaoke bar. They say you can request songs for them to add in a notebook. I have filled out almost two pages most songs basic ones everyone has, 4 months later none have been added.

My wife and I were in town from Dubuque, IA for the Iowa State Fair. We wanted to sing some karaoke and she found AJ's on a google search. When we arrived it was pretty empty but the bartender and karaoke DJ both seemed super friendly so we decided to stay for a bit. Drinks are a little pricey but the experience was well worth the cost. Great song catalog to choose from and there is even an app that has the searchable catalog, it also shows the queue for singers so it is super easy to see how long before you sing. They all made us feel super welcome. We will for sure be coming back whenever we happen to be in the area.

Really great spot for karaoke! I highly recommend. They use an app to select and put ur song into the lineup which is so easy!

Had a blast BEST Karokee Bar in town!

AJ's is a great place to go for Karaoke. They have a professional set up with sound system capable of changing keys, lights and fog machine. Contactless song requests are available through their songbook app. The staff is friendly and they do a good job of keeping the place clean and orderly so you can have a great time whether flying solo or with a group of your friends. There is an outdoor patio with a cool view of the Iowa state capitol. They also have a pool room/pool table. Drink prices are reasonable and it's an all around favorite of mine in Des Moines' East Village. I definitely recommend checking out AJ's, they have Karaoke all 7 nights of the week!

The girls behind the bar were amazing they worked with me and found me a drink I absolutely love Eva & Sammi!! The music was also super enjoyable definitely would recommend if you are looking for a place to sing karaoke and have blast with your friends

In my continuous travels across the midwest I have never found a better karoake bar. The staff is incredible and the crowd this place brings is a good time in a can make the stop and sing your heart out. You won't regret it.
