Stayed here for my birthday weekend and it was marvelous...despite COVID. The location is great, the themed rooms are charming and the food was delicious!!! You need to stay here, just do it.
Beautiful, if you are into history and can appreciate African American history this is the place for you. Emerging yourself in the DC culture is what you will be getting. Kim the Inn keeper just makes you feel at home with her sweet an welcoming personality. This is exactly what a Bed and breakfast should be.
Book it! My husband and I visited early November, and had a great time. We will definitely be staying again in the future..the breakfast was also amazing.
Just checked in and already loving it. Black owned with Black memorabilia and photos throughout. Lovely reception and walkthrough by hotel caretaker. Area is very historic, with townhouses and tree-lined streets. Reminds me of Brooklyn Promenade with a mix of Upper West Side. Definitely a good choice when in DC.
Second visit to DC location for my husband and I. Excellent as always! Love everything about this B&B!! Highly recommend staying here if you want a real great getaway, or even if you are just in the area for business. It's a slice of home away from home!
I love every moment spent here. The inn keeper Noni was great. Her recommendations for things to do were fantastic. Food was amazing. She even left a happy Birthday note with champagne and Chocolates. Definitely will stay again.
