Al-an's Auto Service

I have waited for a long time to write this review. We used this mechanic for years, and for the most part we were satisfied. Bought a car through them, within a month the car had major work which needed to be done; Subaru head gasket situation. They refused to share the burden of the cost of the repair at all. Fortunately, Subaru stepped up and paid for the majority of the work. Frankly, the disappointment had little to do with the cost, and more to do with how we were treated. Although we had an established relationship and were loyal customers, they treated us like second class citizens. I would say my wife and I are more sad than angry.

I've been taking my car to Al-An's for awhile now, and have always been taken care of promptly and respectfully. Their prices are reasonable and the mechanics are quick to communicate what they find before jumping right into repairs.

We received excellent service at Al-An's Auto Service. We were visiting family in Burlington when we encountered brake problems. Alan worked us into the schedule and made the repairs within two hours. We were totally impressed with the results.

I've been going here for 8 years and Alan and Ann are fantastic. With a Honda then a Subaru, I've been in good hands. They give you clear, affordable, and honest options for keeping your car running smoothly, figure out what's going on even when it's tricky, and consistently do quality work. I can't recommend them more highly!

Al & An’s Auto is the only auto shop I want working on our cars. I have been a customer for several years. When I first went to Al & Ans, they helped me realize that the mechanic I was working with was not being honest about what was actually covered under warranty. They helped me save money and keep my car on the road. Most recently, they helped me deal with reoccurring caliper/brake issues with my Honda. When I thought there might be a costly repair, they communicated with the dealer and were able to reimburse the parts and cover labor - so I didn’t have to. They have helped me find good tires and in the past, they helped scout out a used car for me. Ultimately, I can’t express my gratitude to them enough. I hope you also experience the kind of trust, ease of access, customer service, and kindness they’ve shown me. You can be certain you and your family are in good hands with Al & Ans.

If you want your car repaired properly than bring it here. Our entire extended family has been taking our vehicles to this shop for many years and we couldn't be happier. Alan is honest and tells you what you car needs at a reasonable price. I love how he pulls me into the garage and shows me all the parts he took off the car and explains in detail the work he performed.

Best mechanics in town. I genuinely believe that Al and Ann run the best auto repair shop on the planet. They are both kind and generous people and run their business accordingly. Al always provides excellent service, doesn't pad the bill with unnecessary repairs, and gets things done before the promised date and time on a regular basis.

I have been bringing my vehicles to Al-An's for almost 15 years. I love that in my early twenties, Alan would insist on showing me the parts he replaced so I could see what was wrong and why the part was replaced, as though I would know. His honesty and good work has been a complete comfort for a decade and a half. I drive over half an hour to bring my cars to Al-Ans.

Al and Ann are the exception to the general rule, that auto mechanics and auto repairmen are not trustworthy. Al is a five-star auto-mechanic who for more than a decade has never done anything less than his very best for us. I've never met anyone more reliable and courteous that Al and Ann! I've been taking my used and more than 10 years old vehicles to Al for a decade and he always shoots straight with me. He's honest about his work and he finds a way to mitigate costs when he can and when it makes sense to. Always quick turnaround and good mechanic work.
