Very easy process. Employees were professional, kind, and helpful. The gentleman in the lot even drove a few cars over to us so we could choose the one we wanted. I don’t write reviews often but I’ve had so many horrible experiences renting cars I wanted to commend the employees of Alamo for doing such a great job. I’ll rent from Alamo again
I accidentally left my prescription glasses in the rental. I realized immediately and called Alamo. Unfortunately I didn't have time to turn around. I simply wanted them to hold the glasses until the following morning. They never returned an email, a text or a phone call. Then they rented the car to someone else. The following day and still no one has contacted me. They don't care. They will not accept phone calls. So frustrating...
My husband and I had a horrible experience with a man that claimed his name was Joel Luhan. We went back to return our rental car because there was multiple problems with it. The check engine light was on the inside was filthy and it was very uncomfortable. We paid for a full size SUV. When we got there Joel Luhan stated he had no vehicle he could switch to resolve our issue and only rent the same exact car we were having problems with. He also stated he could rent us a van which would have been a downgrade from what we rented. He argued with me and my husband and yelled at us in front of employees and customers. We asked to speak to a manager above him and he said he was the owner and he was above everyone in the Ontario airport. He said he did not have a boss and there was absolutely no one that he answered to. We told him we did not feel safe in the same kind of car and Joel said I did not make any sense and I did not have valid points. He questioned me and repeatedly asked me why I didn’t feel safe when I explained myself at least 3 times. He is very condescending and rude. Me and my husband were talking and he continued to yell and argue with us while we were having a separate conversation. I asked for a business card and he did not have one. He was the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. He did not have any customer service skills and for claiming to be the ceo of the company he lacked professionalism all around. We will never rent from Alamo again and I will continue to complain until this gets addressed. Driving in an unsafe vehicle also one that hurts our backs and him telling me there’s nothing he can do and questioning my concerns and findings is ridiculous and unsafe to the customer. Beware and do not rent from this company. They do not care about your safety and they lack customer service skills.
Nice cars. However, windshield is so dirty on the inside we're going to need to buy cleaner to clean it.
Worst experience ever!!! Arrived with my wife and 5 children at 11:30pm and they informed the system was down and they could not do anything about my reservation. We came from Florida for the first time and we don’t know anything here in Ontario, they did not give us any advice at all to make alternative plans. Name of the manager was Yvette Carillo. Ridiculous
Alamo rents cars to tourists who cause accidents then refuse to pay for damages caused, pain and suffering. They insure their own cars therefore do not have to pay car insurance like the rest of us.
Very good service over a challenging time of year ... easy and efficient handling at both checkout and checkin. Staff was friendly and helpful at Ontario Airport location.
Checking in was fast and easy… the man behind the counter at night was really nice. Alaska changed our return flight to LAX and that made our rental total $790!! For 3 days! Originally was suppose to be $225.90. When we told him we could just bring it back to Ontario and take an Uber he said he was waiving the different drop off location fee for us. Okay great Then the day we dropped it off Alamo charged us $225.90 and a second charge of $494.00 when I called the Ontario airport Alamo to speak to someone a woman named Mercedes answered and had the worst customer service anyone could hope for. She was so rude and kept talking over me and kept sighing. Bad attitude right when she answered the phone. Then said she was done talking to me and was having someone else call us back. I told her she was so rude and she hung up. Then called my number back and said she was reporting ME and I can’t tell her she’s rude because she works for the airport and expect a knock on my door. I reported her to Customer service but who knows. So not only did we pay $720 for a 3 day car rental a mini van we were treated with nothing but disrespect. Do not recommend they will say your charge is one thing and then “audit” will be above the payment. 2 thumbs down to salami and Mercedes
They assured me when I called that they would stay open after close- as is their policy - because our flight was delayed. Not only was no one there, but the exits to the lot were blocked so we couldn’t even use our checked in car.
Rented a car out of Tulsa International airport. Typical rental process, customer service was very helpful with giving directions. Upgraded my rental, since they didn't have what I rented in stock which was very much appreciated. We had an early flight to come home, so we had to drop it off with the night drop, put the keys in the box, and realized my son left his cell phone in the car. We could see it, but the car was locked and keys were in the night drop box. I went online and filled out a lost items form, called and talked to Alamo once they opened from AUS during our layover. They told me someone would contact me if it is found. I have not been contacted. Very disappointed. *Update* They called, they have my cell phone! I was asked to email a shipping label to mail the phone. I did, and the phone is already on it's way home! Very impressive turn around, great customer service!!
