French toast was mid. It was extra dry, and not very sweet. The fruit was relatively fresh though, so that was a plus. Although why grapes?? My scrambled eggs were WET. And not just uncooked, it’s like they poured a cup of water over them while they were on the plate. Extremely bland and horrible texture. My girlfriends omelette was super dry, rubbery and salty. My friend said the eggs Benedict was fine, but not particularly memorable. Lattes were good. Lastly, not sure if this is related, but it rained dust balls from the roof during our entire meal. It was really annoying that they kept landing in our water and food. It wasn’t constant, but consistent ~ every 10 min. Please get the laundromat to not dump their dust there? Or remove the outdoor seating please.
This is THE date night spot with incredible drinks and food. My partner and I have been coming here for years. If you want a laid back vibe come here. It is a warm and woodsy and intimate setting and the crowd is cool too. Definitely for your older millennial crowd who want to laugh and have a good time but not party. The ravioli is my favorite dish JUST DO IT and I always order whatever special drinks. The specials are always changing and always excellent- this time I had The Fallen Angel which was bourbon, chambord, pineapple and lemon it was heavenly. 2 and you'll feel fuzzy and warm. No matter where I move around in the city I will always make the travels to go to Alchemy. 10/10 every time. Lots of options for vegetarian as well as other dietary restrictions like gluten free.
The food was great! We had a mix of breakfast foods. There were free blueberry muffins to start the meal which was a great smile starter! Toad in a hole was so good and the French toast! Highly recommend. Staff was great, friendly and knowledgeable. Great Brunch spot in BK.Food: 5/5
Great little place to eat and grab a drink. The food is excellent with a small but satisfying no frills menu and a wide selection of drinks. The atmosphere is very friendly and the prices are in my opinion affordable.
Lovely cute place. Very chill. My girlfriend and I always come here for brunch. I love their Eggs Benedict. Steak and eggs are great too.Recommended dishesEggs Benedict, Fries
Was having a rough day and the bartender was so hospitable and easy-going, totally turned it around! Shared his crossword with me and offered to charge my phone, I could tell everyone else in the place was feeling chill from his vibes too. This place has really warm energy. I enjoyed my veggie burger and hot toddy too.
This place is clean but there were flies inside. The man working there was friendly but the cooks took really long to make the food. The food was good for the price and the place was empty at lunch time. I would recommend going here but if you’re on a timed schedule then maybe go to a place with quicker service.
Main - hanger steak $28. Was cooked nicely, very tender. The butter and mashed potatoes complemented the steak, but I didn't enjoy the kale too much. Dessert - sticky stout pudding $11. Didn't have much expectations, but it was unexpectedly very good and warm. Maybe just a tad too sweet for me... Apart from the food, the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere - a very romantic tone with the dim lighting. The servers are nice and come every so often to ask if we need anything. And the two restrooms are kept very clean.
4/10/22 brunch- it was full, but got a recently vacated booth. They are understaff so service was slow but nice and friendly. Food still really great! I had the Swiss breakfast, a perfect size for a smaller plate if you're not truly hungry. 2019:Been here several times. Most recently for brunch. Had the huevos rancheros photo, they make it in a very interesting way and it was very good! Service was excellent as it always is... Thanks K! Features: Things are back to normal, although there are still plastic dividers on the back of booth benches.
Tasty chicken sandwich and fries, good mead and service is good. More of a bar feeling than restaurant though and a little loud music. If that’s what’s you’re after this is the place for you’
