The atmosphere is relaxing, and the stylists are knowledgeable and good at what they do. I went in today and got a haircut along with a full balayage. My stylist was Patricia, and she guided me through my options and gave great input on what she thought would would look nice based on the general idea of what I wanted. She was calm, cool, collected, and kept me chill from 12-3:30. I have pretty long hair, down to my waist, and Patricia is a level 3 stylist, so I was prepared to pay an arm and a leg To my surprise, I was quite affordable for the quality of work done in this area of town. I’ve had Jaclyn the owner and Maya apprentice now stylist both cut and style my hair and each time it was an amazing experience. Maya did my most recent cut and tone and did a fantastic job. Not only was it great getting to meet and chat with her, I left her chair feeling so so much better about my hair. Alchemy will now be my go to salon.

One of the best haircuts I’ve had. My hairstylist was Vinna! The attention to detail by her was on point. She took her time and did a fantastic job. Plus I got some beers while I was getting my haircut. I love the atmosphere the salon had and the staff were super friendly. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND Vinna for your next haircut you won’t be disappointed!

Guyssssss.. I have been through a journey with my hair. I can’t even begin to describe the trauma I have had with paying hundreds of dollars at expensive salons, just to end up spending another hundred dollars in products to go over it with Sally Beauty or box dyes. I have always shared inspo photos and struggled with other stylists listening to my desires for keeping my length and giving me non-ashy blonde tones. I always ended up with short hair and/or exactly what I didn’t want. I’ve never found anyone who listened enough to what I envisioned for my hair. I let my hair grow out for the last two years and have been so nervous to try again. I found Patricia and Alchemy Salon on IG/Google and the reviews were great. Not going to lie, I was nervous since I didn’t see a lot of her work on her page but I just had a good feeling and decided to give it a go. Full transparency, I almost cancelled multiple times leading up to my appointment. Lol the trauma was real. From the minute I walk in, Vina was sooooo sweet and welcoming. Offered me beverages multiple times they had mimosas! and always made sure I was comfortable. Patti talked me through all my fears, my hairs’ history and eased my anxiety pretty quickly. I fought myself to trust the process and the whole way she was always checking on me. She gave me exactly what I wanted and Vina finished my hair off with the most amazing styling/waves. In the end.. it all paid off! I am beyond thrilled with my hair, the service and with the entire experience. I’m definitely a lifelong customer. I’m so happy I didn’t give up on my hair journey. If you’ve been burned by salon trauma.. give Patti a shot. Her and Vina definitely helped heal mine.

Vina did a hair trim and bangs on my child, and she left her feeling SO confident and beautiful! I really appreciated her talking to her and making her comfortable and feel heard. Vina also went through each step with me and the reasoning behind it. We will definitely be back!

Had my hair cut by Jessie today! She really helped me answer a lot of questions I've always had about my hair & was very nice the entire time. I'm more of a 'quiet appointment' person typically, we had a nice chat though later into the appointment because I felt comfortable and she was super accommodating of that! Though I didn't have a concrete picture of what I wanted, she took the few notes I had and we ended up with a cut I love! The salon itself was very welcoming and clean and I will absolutely be a continual & repeat customer. The prices were very reasonable when I compared with other stylists in Houston.Services: Haircut

My stylist Maya was so amazing, she really saw the vision I had for my hair and helped me achieve it. She layered my hair perfectly and shaped my waves well after: my hair is softer, lighter, and so much prettier. I would definitely recommend:

Excellent haircut, customer service, and reasonable price! I came here as a University of Houston student since it's near-ish campus and I had a great experience. First they're friendly at the door and offered me to select a drink they gave me coffee in a mug!. I have 3A 3B curly hair and asked for a short wolf/pixie cut. Stephanie did a great job styling my hair with her fingers and a diffuser, even though my hair texture was weird in the back not their fault. When she used a product that made my hair feel too heavy, she was willing to re-wash it and style it again, even while the shop just closed! I forgot to bring my credit card, so they emailed me an invoice and they were so nice about it! It's been 2 months since then and my hair still looks great; it's now an overgrown wolfcut/mullet/80's boy situation.

I was a about 16 when I had a traumatizing hair experience at visible changes. I have curly hair - they did not know what they were doing and fried my hair with the color. Despite my bad experience, I decided to trust someone to professionally cut it and dye it again after all this time. Jessie was my stylist and she did an amazing job. I love how the cut and color both came out. I’m in love and will proudly wear my curly hair down more. I was so nervous/fearful and Jessie took it all away. She was super sweet upon meeting her for the first time and made me feel so comfortable. Everyone was kind and welcoming upon arriving. The vibe is very relaxing and comfy which says so much about the place. I definitely will be coming back and definitely recommend Jessie for a fantastic job.

It’s hard to put into words how happy I am with my hair. It hadn’t been done professionally in over 4 years and had 2 years worth of box dye damage. They were open and honest with me from the start and didn’t hide the fact that I probably wouldn’t end up with what I wanted due to the fact that I had box dyed my hair. They use quality products and your hair health is their top priority. I cannot express how grateful I am to the whole staff. From the moment you walk in you can feel the positive environment and atmosphere. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and the fact that even the owner would greet and check out customers at the front says a lot. 10000% recommended. They also do a lot of charity work, attend fundraisers and are involved with the community. The owners are absolute gems and down to earth genuinely good people who run an amazing business here. You can tell their employees are happy and treated well which is ultimately reflected into their work ethic. Love love love this salon and I will definitely be returning.
