Excellent service, price, and speedy. Dropped my shoes off at lunch, picked them up at 4pm. Took some before and after pics, but i of course forgot to take the after pics before i wore the shoes, so they’re a bit dirty, but otherwise good as new! It cost $70 total for the heel and sole replacement on the shoes with the hole, and just a heel replacement on the other shoes.
Service was quick and reasonably priced. Man Alex the owner I think was friendly and helpful. Would recommend to a friend 1 week update: I wore the shoes twice after they had been fixed and on the second time the strap came out again that's what I had fixed originally although the tips on the bottoms have been very good.
I've been recommended this location and have been going from the days when I was an intern, and could only afford to repair and shine my shoes, to now as a full-time employee. Their service is quick, effective, and cheap - and you just can't beat that trifecta. There is a young lady who is in charge of shoe-shining and she can pretty much get you out in less than 5 minutes with shoes that look brand new. As for the cobbler - he may seem a little cranky, but he definitely takes his job seriously and will have your shoes in tip-top shape in no time! Tip: Make sure to give the girl that shoe-shines a nice tip, don't be stingy, and she'll be sure to do a good job on your shoes every time!
This place is a gem. I've had a couple of things boots, etc repaired here and the older gentleman running the place is always polite, concise and honest. Most importantly, I've never had to come back on the same item. I just took in a pair of sneakers that need a bit of glue and was quoted $20 at Lutz. I'm having it repaired here for $4. Honest, good work means a lot to me, I hope everyone gets to experience working with these guys!
Great pricing, quick, and best of all AMAZING service! I stopped by another place before this who were just going to slap a black piece on the bottom of my tan bottom boots where they were thinning for $20 and tried to convince me I needed new heels that I literally just got done last week for another $20...I came here and was relieved he was putting a matching tan bottom without me even asking on my boots for $18 and didn't try and upsell me on nonsense I don't need... Very happy will definitely come back :
Went here with 2 pairs of brand new expensive John Varvatos boots. They were a little snug as I have a high arch. I wanted it stretched. I have never done this before and was concerned that it would damage the leather. When I asked the older man / owner this question, he got so rude and told me to take my shoes and leave. I was not rude, I asked him very politely a valid question. I was shocked at his attitude and reaction. I would never take any of my shoes here or recommend it to anyone. Stay away!!
NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE! I've been to this repair shop before to get some black pumps reheeled, and had no complaints. Today, I walked in to ask them if they could clean my metallic Michael Kors handbag that I love, and use almost daily. It was looking a little grubby, and had a small blue ink stain, as well as dye from a dark colored jean jacket that had discolored a portion of the bag from rubbing against it during wear. The older man behind the counter wasn't certain if he could do anything to clean the handbag, because of its unusual gold/silver distressed finish; but, he called in a female worker for a second opinion. This woman had been standing outside of the small storefront as I was walking into the shop. She was spraying a dark colored briefcase, as I entered, with what was possibly protector spray or polish. When she came inside to take a look at the bag, and turn it over in her hands, I noticed that her stained fingers were marking my light-colored bag with dark spots. After I saw it happen, and then asked her to be careful, she then made a second mark on my bag by turning it over. I pointed this out to her and she immediately said, "It's not me!" I responded that I had just seen it happen, and that it was in fact she who had marked my bag. The man tried to tell me that they were old ink stains. I responded that there was only one ink mark on my bag, done by me, and that the two dark spots were most definitely not ink, but from something on the hands of this woman exactly where she had touched the bag. She proceeded to deny it, and walked away from me, taking a rag and wiping her hands to try and show me that they were not dirty. Now, I'm not the kind of person who enjoys confrontation, nor do I like to accuse others wrongly, but this woman and her counterpart were so absolutely adamant that they were not at fault, when they absolutely were! I had to ask them for a rag to clean my bag, and the man pulled out neutral leather polish to try and get the marks off -- which did not work. Really? You're going to put polish on top of a stain to get it out? I left the store telling them that they needed to improve upon their customer service and admit to their mistakes in the future. Next door, in a restaurant's washroom, I managed to wipe off one of the freshly made black marks, but I could not remove the second more noticeable one. I'm so upset that someone could be so ignorant. I understand that what she did was a mistake; but, the lack of recognition for it is unacceptable to me. Do you want to take your valued leather items to such a business? I would recommend, "No".
Sad to say I wanted to like this place but the nails loosened on my new heel s-- had to bring back. For more than 25 years I went to a place in Queens and never, ever experienced this before. Shoddy work. Will not go back. Will go out of my way for good repair work.
Excellent, speedy, friendly service. Fixed my dance shoes in a few hours for $6.
I have used Alex for 15 years and he is very kind and experienced! I recommend
