To all Philadelphia locals: this is the place to get your haircut. The staff are wonderful, and after about 5 haircuts here, I can confidently say that they’re some of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. They usually have availability, even same-day, and I suggest you give them a try. The shop is conveniently located near Rittenhouse Square and they have a coat rack / bag hooks for your stuff in case you need it. A men’s haircut here is also pretty reasonably priced — I’ve looked all over and haven’t found the same quality:price ratio anywhere else. If you get the chance, you should try and have Rita as your hairdresser!
Excellent experience. They took my reservation and my credit card also, and I had a choice of whom to work with. Good quality place with very experienced female barber.
I got a fantastic haircut! My hairdresser was detail-oriented. The place is clean and spacious. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional.
Highly Recommended!! Today I was taking care of by Rita. She was so pleasant and patient because they were closing early and I felt bad that I held her up. But she did an amazing job and took her time. She even took the extra step to rinse my hair after the cut so I don't have and hairs fall off while I am at my nice dinner! If I ever need a hair cut and my Barber is closed I will be going out of my way to come back here again!
Lovely staff, great haircuts, cozy. Love this place :
This is a fine and friendly place for hair services in a great location. Everyone I see going out of there looks great. My personal recommendation is for Rita who has been cutting my hair for over 15 years. She always does a great job and does it exactly how I like it. She is always friendly and upbeat with a great sense of humor. You get warmth and care, the best of South Philly, in a cool Center City location. And the prices are reasonable. What else could you ask for?
I’ve been going to All About Hair for a few years now. I find the staff and shop very friendly and warm. Personally, I always book with Shula and she does a fantastic job and I generally have no issues getting myself on her calendar. I also have friends who come in for Lou as well. All services are reasonable for the city. Thanks to All About Hair for your great service!
So I've come here 3 times because it is located next to my work. Each time I call and make an appointment and each time I'm asked to wait at least 20 minutes because of walk ins. So why bother making an appointment if a random person gets priority over me? Any way, my biggest gripe is the fact that they cut your hair however the hell they want. I asked for a size 2 buzz on the side of my head and each time they insist it must be scissor cut. Yes, I know what I want so just do it. It ends up being an OK haircut but for 28 plus tip I think they should follow direction. They have a very old school approach to hair cutting and disregard the customers desire. I'll have to get another haircut next week just so I can get the look I wanted, which they could have provided easily and more quickly when I asked initially. Plus they decided to condition and gel my hair without my consent which is outrageous. I asked for a haircut not some old man haircut style with unnecessary products in my hair. I do think they have good intentions but when a client asks for a specific cut adhere to it. Now I have to spend another 20+ bucks to clean up their mistakes. Overall, every time I've been disappointed. Every time. But the hair cut given works until I can get someone who actually listens to cut it. I only use this place when I need a haircut and can't go to a customer-centric barber. Last resort but not too bad if you are fine with the barber dictating your hairstyle. I hope to never return again.
First time customer here, Lou did a great job giving me a clippers cut even though I'm used to a buzz+clipper combo. He faded the sides and bottom nicely into the thicker/longer hair on top. He also politely took my direction when I asked him to cut the back, which was nice not to get grief from the barber. I would definitely go back.
