Food was good, not special. In the past couple months the portions have been reduced substantially with prices increasing. The menu is plain. Better like espresso in your desert. I've hoped the new owners would find a better mix of chef, waiter staff and food than the last owners. As it stands it is far too pricey for what is served. Still hoping. . . . stayed tuned.
Update: Not a chance I'd be back. My own cooking is far better. No drama between owner and kitchen . . . or husband (LOL).

This was not what I was expecting. Looking at the menu is a miss representation. The meals are small and way over priced. I had the duck breast, got half the breast on a little bit of potatoes and some vegetables. The sear on the duck was nice but this was more like a $20 meal not $34. Maybe they expect you to have enough wine that one will not focus on the food. It is apparent that they think highly of their own food as there was no salt and pepper on any of the tables and the food could have used some of both. Was sad to spend just under $100 for two people and only one weak mixed drink each.

First, but not last, visit. Food, wine & service were fantastic. And the veggies that came with the entrees were incredible.

I am very fortunate to have dined at Alloro many times. Warm and welcoming, it's classy and casual at the same time. I don't have to get dressed-up, though many do. Dressed-up or casual, no one is out of place. I'm always greeted with a smile, the staff are very friendly and the service is great. Which brings me to the cuisine... incredible. It's the only restaurant where I could close my eyes and point at the menu. I have never been disappointed in any dish I've ordered at Alloro. The pasta is house-made, fresh and has ruined me for packaged pasta, there's no comparison. I haven't tried all of the desserts. My first trip, I found a new favorite with the Panna Cotta. The next time I had Tiramisu... it is heavenly. I haven't had any other dessert since, I can't get enough.
I have rarely ever written a review about anything, but I love this place and just had to share my experience. If you enjoy Alloro half as much as I do... you're in for a real treat.

If I could give 6 stars for this restaurant I would do so. Are there Michelin stars in their future? If you're going to Bandon to play golf or to enjoy the town and you can only visit one restaurant, this is the one.
The head chef has trained at one of the best culinary schools on the West Coast and she truly cares about producing the finest cuisine possible. From the linen tablecloths to the super attentive staff, this is a meal to remember. The restaurant features gluten free options for just about every item. There are no production shortcuts here. The Lemon Drop cocktails use ingredients from Italy, the pasta is homemade, the seafood is absolutely fresh and perfect. The chef came out to chat and check on our happiness no less than three times. My wife is an accomplished chef with particular experience in tiramisu and Italian dessert dishes and is not easily impressed. She conceded that the desserts were superior to what we could create ourselves. This is a MUST visit restaurant experience. If you're golfing at Bandon Dunes, get down here and you won't regret it.
