I had a pretty negative experience when I took my wheels here for service. Communication was challenging at best with the staff, however when I was able to reach someone, they were always very polite and friendly. My wheels were cracked and bent by the previous owner, and two of them were causing a tire leak. They were able to repair one of those, it no longer leaks. One of the other ones still leaks, but at least it leaks slower now. There is also a different wheel now that leaks that did not when I dropped off the car. The wheels suffered substantial cosmetic damage to them while in their possession, chips and scuffs, they look pretty awful at this point. Plus, they managed to get white paint on one of them as well. Anyone can have a bad day at work, even wheel repair guys, I am just disappointed with how terrible it turned out. When I called to try and sort out what happened, they informed me they could not fix them and I should take them elsewhere. It's not like I am trying to pull a fast one here, claiming they damaged the wheels to try and get one over on them or something. I brought the wheels in, with some finish issues on them already, with the intent to pay for them to provide that service to start with. They declined to do that, which is fine. However, now my wheels look worse than they did before. Look, these guys have a LOT of positive reviews. I'm sure they do great work most of the time, but sometimes they don't. When they don't, the process to deal with it is, well, it's just your problem. If you chose to disregard the negative reviews listed and take your wheels here anyway, you run the risk of something similar happening to you. Maybe you will get lucky if you bring your car here and everything will turn out great, but maybe it won't. If you end up on the unlucky end of their mistakes like me, well then you get what you get. If you are reading reviews then that means you are shopping for wheel service. I would STRONGLY suggest you do so elsewhere. UPDATE - So I tried to call like the response here suggested, several times with no luck. Again, the employees that did answer were always polite, but none of the messages I left ever elicited a response. I mean, I get it. If I did this to someone's wheels I wouldn't want to talk to them either. If I can save one of the 3,000+ people who have viewed this already from making the same mistake I did, then at least it won't be a total waste.
After calling/contacting another wheel repair place five times and getting no response *cough* E.R. Wheel Repair *cough* Alloy Wheel Repair texted me the same day and got me in the following week. I could have gotten in sooner, but I was busy. First off, the wheel was repaired flawlessly. I mean, look at the pictures. I can't even see where the curb scrape was. Secondly, when removing the tire they found a flaw in it and recommended new tires. A bit of a bummer, but in no way is that a reflection of their craftmanship. The car is new and I am guessing this just slipped past inspection. So, I ordered two new front tires and brought them into the shop. Not only did they put on both tires within a day, but the fee was no different than a standard single wheel repair. So, putting a tire on a wheel that they did no work on was essentially free. Five stars there. Yes, they are busy. Yes, communication might not be immediate. But that is how ALL repair shops are these days. Wreck your car and need it fixed? Plan on having to wait a couple months before you get it in. But this review is for the craftmanship and the customer service, both of which were top notch. I mean, the work speaks for itself. I have no complaints.
AMAZING is the word that describes this company! From the initial meeting with Justin to follow-up communication with Jane to the pick-up with Alex, the entire process was stellar. My rims look brand new and the vibration, from bent rims, is gone. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
The pictures speak for themselves. Dropped two wheels off on the first day to see how they looked before taking all four. When I got the first two back, I immediately went home and brought the other two back. Both sets of wheels were done the next day. They told me one-two days it took one. They quoted me $150 based on the pictures I sent them before pictures, and they charged $150. I would definitely recommend them.
Rear rim of BMW was damaged in an accident. Brought it in and this team did a phenomenal job of repairing it to where it looks brand new. And this is after the rim hitting a curb and having a chunk taken out of the rim and massive scaring. It was also done in 2 days!
Impossible to get hold of, never return voice mails, did a terrible job repairing my wheel. The new finish was chipping in less than 8 weeks, and the wheel won't hold air. When I called and finally got someone to answer they didn't seem to care -- no apology for the inconvenience of having to bring it in again, no mention of making it right. Seemed annoyed that I wanted my wheel repaired properly.
Update : The wheel I had refinished by them already started chipping paint away at multiple spots so I went back to make them aware of it and she told me she won't look at the wheel until I pay them more money and if not, I should take my business elsewhere. Upon taking my car to other repair shop, they told me same wheel that I had fixed is still bent and they make you sign a waiver NO WARRANTY AS IS when you pick up your wheel. So how are you supposed to know if wheel is fixed or not until you drive your car for which you have to sign the waiver before actually trying it on? That's preposterous..... I was a returning customer since they did my wheel same day last time. This time I had a really minor bent and they told me 3 days for full restore. So I gave it and guess what?.... it took them almost 20 days to finish the job. Then I went again for another wheel repair/quote about hour and half before they close and the white woman at front desk was extremely rude. She spoke to me as if I'm a teenager trying to get free stuff from her, which I wasn't despite me explaining to her that I need my wheel fixed and I'm a returning customer. In between our conversation she just picked up a phone call in middle of my sentence and I just walked out. I hope someone else opens a wheel repair shop in indy since these people do not want customers to return. Just be careful if you're a minority they might profile you since no one else in the market to compete with them
This place has done right by me a few times. I had rims that would not hold a bead and was leaking air. They repaired at $75/rim. Sure...it's not cheap but it's a hecka lot cheaper than buying new rims!
Great service! I brought my rim in and they assessed and repaired it in 24 hours. It cost $100, which was cheaper than the $315 the dealership wanted for a new rim. Very happy with the service and repair. I'd definitely recommend this place to a friend! You can see my damaged rim, but I forgot to take a picture of it once it was repaired.
