Freshest poke around!! Literally the best poke I’ve ever had in the VB area. They are the place I direct everyone to try. All of there other good is just as tasty as well. I always get the soy cured bowl and it never disappoints.
The brisket burrito was a disappointment. Almost no meat at all. The waffles fries were a mess , i think they don’t know how to use the mandoline slicer. The two bowls that you see on the picture they were nice, but my daughter said there was too much souse.
The best burger I've ever had. If I were ever on death row and had to choose my last meal I just might choose the gnarly Burger. Good size sit-down dining area for a small spot as well as places at the bar. Very casual. Outstanding unique menu, lots of drink choices. They also have an outside area. Wasn't a problem getting parking. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Such a great experience I can't wait to come back and try everything on the menu!
Went with my family and would say for sure I'd come back to try more. We got the Bulgogi Fries, they're on the more expensive side but there is plenty Bulgogi in there and very much worth it. We also had Szechuan wings with Black Sesame Honey sauce. Its on the sweeter side but the flavor of the wings was great. Not very crispy but they do have the sauce and wings separate sauce in the bottom of the bowl, wings on top. Bulgogi Cheesesteak was one of my favorite dishes we tried there so far. Messy but has a nice kick and plenty of bulgogi. Pad Thai is different than your traditional Pad Thai but I enjoyed their take on it. Has a very nutty taste and a good amount of vegetables and chicken served with it. Everything was great except the Brisket Fried Rice. Flavors were great, but the rice was saturated in sauce and was overly salty. Brisket was great though. We also tried the malasada donuts. We were going to try coconut and guava, unfortunately they ran out of coconut so that'll have to wait on that until next time. The guava donut however we sweet, sugary, and the filling was very flavourful. I would get everything again my next visit, except the Brisket Fried Rice. Will be planning on trying their burgers next time though! Vegetarian options: They have a few items on the menu marked as vegan.
The food was super tasty and the staff was very friendly! I like how they have a variety of different Hawaiian foods, and it is the perfect place if you want to try some new foods! Will definitely visit again!
If I don’t tell you what I ordered you would assume by the photo I ordered a regular poke bowl. What I actually ordered was the poke nachos, I was expecting chips and poke grade fish. I received what was basically a salad poke bowl with 2 wonton chips in it. I also ordered an extra scoop of salmon and was told it would be an additional $5 charge; I said okay. It came with 1 scoop of tuna already and I wanted an additional scoop of salmon. The total amount came out to $25 for my “poke nachos.” When I opened the bowl there was barely anything in there, barely half of it was filled and there was veggies and lettuce that I didn’t ask for or want. The worst part was there was globs of mayonnaise put in the bowl that was disgusting. As mentioned earlier I ordered extra fish but my bowl was severely lacking that extra fish I paid for. For reference you can buy a pound of sushi grade tuna from Wegman’s for $17; I barely had a palm size amount of fish in my bowl. I was expecting poke nachos like how they serve at Yard House which btw is only $15 regular price or half off during happy hour It was overpriced, disgusting and underwhelming. Very disappointed as I try to support local businesses instead of chain restaurants.
Very good food. No gf menu, but poke bowls can be modified. Very expensive. Also super busy, and the staff wasn't very attentive.
Recommended to me by a former Navy SEAL who lives locally I was very pleased with the suggestion. For "what it is" it's really a pretty fun spot with a really nice, mostly very young staff that went out of their way to make me feel welcomed, including giving me samples before I made my selection. A very much appreciated move on their part. The only thing lacking in this spot is it being on the waterfront but then again it might make things more expensive and screw up their drive thru feng shui. The restrooms 2 of them are both unisex can I still say that and just might win the award for the most fun wallpaper. Their credit card cashier system does not seem to let you add a tip so if you are so inclined be ready with a 5 spot or more. I meant to grab a picture Pokemon game council on my way out but I spaced it. I found the parking lot just a little confusing as I think they need a refresher paint job on their parking stalls and one way traffic arrows. Next time I am in town from the left coast I will be sure to return and would recommend this place. Remember for what it is it gets the 5 star review BUT it is by no means a fancy pants spot.
This hidden gem is off the main strip and worth every step to get there. It instantly became our family’s new favorite spot on our most recent trip after a decade of visiting VA Beach. We stumbled onto it after another dinner plan failed. Thank the good Lord for that! Here’s what I loved about this place: -the atmosphere is unique and clean -the food was UNPARALLELED in taste and quality - the staff was so kind and one of the managers, Aaron, made sure our son had a blast and that we were taken care of throughout our visit. The owner even stopped by to chat and took our picture! All the food was fantastic. Bright, fresh flavors that I have never had anywhere else. I don’t remember the menu names, but especially loved the avocado and special sauce burger, fries with ribeye and mango slices, and Portuguese donut shares nicely with a small group. If I could have fit any more Aloha Snacks into my stomach, I would. GOOD VIBES ONLY
