Inexpensive, but poor quality sushi. Sushi rice was poorly prepared - basically became a rice cake. The udon is too salty and sweet. Pay a little more and get better sushi. Skip this place.
Hidden yet unexpectedly reasonably good food. From picture advertised it seemed that the poke would fill the bento box but in reality it doesn’t. I didn’t take away stars because it was also not overpriced. Convenient location for ilikai hotel guests. The strip shopping mall where restaurant located isn’t very attractive and does not have seatings. You need to find your own seating.
Friendly, quick service. I got chicken and veggie rolls great flavor and she recommended the honeydew bubble tea flavor- it’s my new favorite! Would definitely come back
We enjoy buying our sushi at this location when we stay in Waikiki! The worker who I think may be the owner is so helpful and nice. I enjoy the sushi and udon! This time we purchased two types of sushi - Volcano Maki and Spicy Ahi Cali Roll Maki. Both were very delicious!!!!
Beef udon was AMAZING and they definitely didn’t skimp on hot sauce when I asked for some on the side! Definitely coming back again
My favorite spot for sushi especially when I crave dragon maki! it’s great quality for a great price and 10/10 customer service. The employees are so cute and very friendly
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The owner is such a sweet lady! And the food is good for the price! I am a f/a who travels the world and stays all over the world. As such, I am always looking for economical ways to eat on layovers, especially in “tourist” areas. This place is priced lower than anyone around and I get good quantity for my price. I think the quality is good too, but I am not Asian, so I can’t really tell you if the noodles are the best, but they taste great to me! Aloha Sushi not only has sushi, but my vegetarian daughter likes their veggie sushi, and the also have noodles I like the spicy ramen & Teriyaki meat dishes too! The only people who might complain about this place are…negative people who like to complain, just so they can draw attention to themselves!
The food was terrible. Still, this is Hawaii, and there are many Japanese and Koreans, so I expected the quality of rolls and sushi to be high, but it wasn't at all. The sushi at this restaurant was similar to the sushi at a restaurant in Paris, France, where doesn't know much about sushi. A typical tasteless sushi with a lot of rice and a very small amount of raw fish. I don't understand why other Koreans say it's delicious in reviews.
The owner is a very genuine and kindhearted person. Shes been running this business for over 20 years and for good reason, as the food is good. The staff are also really friendly and always serving with a smile. My faves are either the spicy volcano maki, the crunch, or spicy ahi cali maki. The udons and ramens are also tasty i love noodles hehe. She’s also pretty flexible and you can also request to change your udon broth to a miso one!! I like to switch it up every now and then and also get the poke bowl or spicy ahi don.
It is a great place to get take out food if you stay near by. Quick service and not bad quality.
