We made it to Amaro's Table the first day they opened their patio seating this season. It was a fantastic spot to enjoy a springtime happy hour. The outdoor seating area is set up comfortably, with enough space between tables to not feel cramped. There are lights strung above that would probably make for a romantic evening after sunset, and the music selection playing in the background set a breezy mood for the afternoon. Service was very friendly and attentive. And the happy hour food and drinks were reasonably priced, fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious, with enough variety for everyone to find something they'd enjoy. This time around, we ordered the carnitas tacos. The carnitas were moist, flavorful, and not too fatty like some I've had at other places. We also opted for one of the rotating daily cocktails on tap. They had 2 that day one vodka based drink with berries and the gin based cocktail we ordered, plus a daily sangria. Our drinks were fruity, complex, and definitely something I would order again, if available. During a previous visit, I'd ordered the chicken tenders, which were well seasoned, tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. They also had a great crunch and were not overly greasy. They came with a range of house made sauces that set this option apart from tenders you'll get elsewhere. We asked our server, and she brought out an assortment to try. Another item that we loved at Amaro's is the ricotta donuts. The ricotta is incorporated into the batter, so don't expect these to have a filling. But they are like dense round donut holes that come with a fabulous caramel sauce for dipping. A word of caution- these are delicious, but very filling. My eyes were larger than my stomach with these. But the leftovers heated up well for a treat the next day- especially because they tucked some caramel sauce into the box with whatever I couldn't finish. I've done happy hour at plenty of places, and this is one of my favorites. Who doesn't love finding a locally owned business that's getting it right? I look forward to the next visit!
Great place for a fancy date night or drinks with friends. Excellent dinner. I had a hot toddy the beat salad and the shrimp linguine. The meal was perfectly seasoned and had the right amount of acid. Atmosphere is upscale and comfortable, warm. Lots of booth seating. Service was excellent. Servers were there when you needed them. Parking was easy. I probably wouldn't bring kids here.
We had a great meal here. I had the pork chop with mango chutney and my wife had the fried chicken sandwich and the wedge salad. We got the ricotta donuts for dessert with ice cream thanks to the reviews here which also were awesome. Highly recommended we are going to move nearby and will be frequent visitors.Food: 5/5
We stopped in on a Saturday evening hoping to get seated. We were seated in the "atrium," which felt a lot like a lobby. Our table was a folding banquet table. Service was great, drinks were great. I had the risotto special which came with grilled salmon. The fish was literally the most overcooked salmon I have ever had in a restaurant. Disappointing. My partner made a better choice with the short ribs, which were succulent and tender. We were happy to get seated without a reservation on a Saturday night. The manager was kind about the salmon, but it was still a bummer. We have eaten here before and it was quite good, so we will probably try again.
Great food. Everything was seasoned and cooked well. Amazing drinks. Outstanding service from the hostess to the waiters and waitress. We came on a busy evening, yet they didn't skip a beat.Food: 4/5
Everything about this place is amazing. The server was phenomenal as was the food. When I asked for Sambuca after dinner and there was none, the server turned me on to Amaro instead and OMG I'm so happy she did. The atmosphere was cozy and warm and even though we had a larger party, everything was perfect. I had the fried chicken and it was to die for.
We both loved the lavender and berry lemonades, corn fritters, fried chicken sandwich and braised short rib! The staff were very friendly, and we would definitely return to try a cocktail in the future.Food: 5/5
Absolutely love this place! First time to downtown! Amazing food!Amazing service ! Thank you to Amber!!! She was wonderful!! Perfectly seasoned! Ragu paparadelle with braised short rib, lemon drop, ricotta fig app, and Steak sandwich! DELICIOUS!!! 10/10!! Thank you!!!! This is like Top Chef! They know how to season! Ranch for fries also delicious!
Right across the bridge from Portland is Vancouver WA and we found this awesome little spot on a Friday afternoon before our flight back East. The space was inviting and the staff was attentive and helpful. As soon as we entered we were greeted with a friendly attitude and seated immediately. Our sever was informative, knowledgeable and great with recommendations before asking. Typically I like sandwiches for lunch and go for a burger. She recommended their fried chicken sandwich and I obliged. It did not disappoint. Crispy but lightly battered and not overwhelmingly “fatty”. The sweet caramel sauce paired with the saltier slaw was a great combo to balance the taste buds. Great idea to place on a French roll instead of a brioche for plating appearance. Regrettably, I did not get a cocktail due to imbibing the entire week on vacation but wife got a gin cocktail I forget the name unfortunately- maybe the “herb garden gin and tonic”? Picture shown but she loved it. We finished with some ricotta donuts and these were a fantastic way to end the meal. We were impressed with the staff and service as everyone seemed happy and willing to help. No one had a frown or seemed grumpy and it made the vibe. Highly recommend trying this restaurant in Vancouver.
Amaro’s table is one of many great restaurants in downtown Vancouver Washington! I came here for my sister’s birthday dinner and it was wonderful. The service was fantastic and the meal I ordered was delicious. I ordered the salmon dish for dinner and ate every bite. The cocktail was yummy and refreshing and for dessert we had the ricotta donuts and omg it was define! Definitely will come back and try another dish.
