I was extremely impressed with these apartments, but I was even more impressed with Jocelyn’s customer service. She provided excellent customer service.
Apparently these people didn't get the memo that everyone is back open.... They make you schedule a tour but flat out don't show up and the office is locked up tight no one around dark inside. We had an 11:30am tour set, arrived at 11:15am waiting around for our time and not one person came or even called us to tell us they are not coming. I think the management company needs to replace the workers if they are not willing to actually work.. We ended up renting elsewhere because the Amber Ridge staff couldn't be bothered to show up for the appointment for a potential new tenant.
Police have been in the neighborhood on the daily lately. You see them patrolling at different hours of the day and night. Theres been a lot of bad things happening in the area as a whole. Not the best neighborhood for kids and vulnerable people. I notice more people putting those small cameras in thier windows in the neighborhood. I think its probably a good idea to do everything you can to protect yourself and your family. Not sure I'll be staying but it's tough to move just now with owners taking advantage of the rent increases everywhere in the city.
Moved here and management was great lived here for over a year and was really satisfied. New upstairs neighbors moved in and we had constant problems with upstairs neighbors. After speaking to management we were offered to move to a different unit a bigger and more expensive one. We were fed up with our neighbors so we agreed. Everything was set for the upcoming month and were happy about management resolving our issue. Then the new month rolls around and we speak to the office to make sure everything is still on track and are informed there has been a change in management. The new general manager has no idea of any of our dealings with the old management and we are told that there is nothing she can do for us "sorry" after we reach out to the old manager she reaches out to the new one and everything is back on track. We are given a set date to move, we are charged for the upcoming month at the new apartment price starting the date we are supposed to receive the keys . I was told on the day of move that we will get the keys at 9 am. That morning I head over to uhaul rent a truck and load everything up. 9 am comes and goes and nothing I start trying to call the office office "closed" for covid so everything over the phone after an hour and a half of continuously calling I finally get through and am told "we forgot to write up your contract you wont be able to move in until tomorrow" after explaining that the uhaul is loaded and ready to go with our stuff on the truck we are told they will write up the contract and it will take an hour. After an hour I start calling the office again and again and again finally there's an answer around 130 we get the contract via email but only I get it my wife does not. Another 40 minute round of calling with the phone just ringing turns out they sent it to the wrong email so we get that squared away I am midway through signing everything and notice my wife's name is misspelled so another hour of calls now its around 3 pm I get through and am told they will redo the contract with the name change and sent it right away I get my copy but again my wife does not so at this point I've had it. I contact the office tell them I am no longer going to move and I put my 30 day notice. A couple of days later I get a call from them stating I never paid my rent even though I had paid more than my share since I was moving to a 3 bed room instead of paying for the 2 bed room that I had. Then I am told that they would fix it. That they are going to keep the extra that I paid and would get it back as a check when I get my refund. Later that day an employee from the company who we've known the whole time we were there tells us that the manager informed them that she is upset we didn't go forward with the move and that she would make sure we didn't get any of our money back. In order for us to move from one apartment to the next the manager had to come into our apartment and take pictures to show we were good tenants and took care of the apartment. We literally had nothing hung on the walls no damage to the walls or doors. The damage that was there was there from before we moved in. And we have the pictures to prove it. But low and behold not only did we not get any of the deposit, we also did not get any of the money that they charged us for the month we were supposed to be in a 3 bedroom I also got a charge for 9.00 more dollars because it wasn't enough for her to take the rest of my money just because she is vindictive. And this is their general manager.
Reading the reviews I don't know if I got lucky or what but for a first apartment id say they are pretty good. I live towards the front right by the office, it's always clean, I have really good quit neighbors and never really any problems. Not saying there aren't loud people and the cops do come often but I never had anything crazy happen. I have No bugs in my apartment. Maintenance does take a long time to fix anything, but most if the Time they are understaffed. The area has a lot to do with it being a little ghetto but for the price is say it's a good choice for a first apartment or someone on a tight budget.
I have been living here in the Amber Ridge Apartment Community for going on several months now. I have had a great relationship with each of the Office Staff members. Anytime I needed Maintenance done to my unit, the Office Staff was always attentive, friendly and always made sure to follow up with me directly, to ensure that all the items were completed as promised. I do truly appreciate, that they are always in the process of updating the apartment community as a whole. The units are tasteful and cozy. I have not had any issues with noise levels being too loud and it appears to be very respectful neighborhood. I would definitely recommend other new prospects to consider making Amber Ridge Apartments their new home.
I am so happy my lease expired. I was there only one year, enough for me to see. The staff is rude and always on their cellphone. Crime is at its worst, my license plates got stolen twice and random people kept knocking at my door at midnight. My A/C wasn't working for more than two months they never fixed it and thankfully I could move the workers kept saying that it was ok. They never fixed my bathroom, nor the cabinets. The refrigerator kept freezing my food. Always people fighting outside. The receptionist included, she lives in those apartments. They were trying to raise my rent almost 300 a month if I renewed the lease. I returned the apartment very clean and they still charged me almost 500, for cleaning the apartment the carpet and repainting. STAY AWAY FROM THIS APARTMENTS. It's not a safe place to live.
Ok so its been almost a month now since the office closed down the pool due to someone breaking the pump and here in vegas with triple digit temps reaching close to 120 the office has not called in a pool person that is fully licensed to come and repair the pool pump. There are allot of residents who have to go out and spend money to go swimming elsewhere instead of the pool facility that is in the complex. Management really needs to get on the ball for this and get it done so that residents and children can be allowed to swim without having to go elsewhere to swim.
When I first moved in my refrigerator was not working for 2 month and I have 3 kids I had to buy take out food and my kids dosnt eat that but because they took so long to put a new refrigerator in I lost a lot of money. The maintenance are rude they take forever to get something done and they do not fix it right I made so many requests to the point they have to make a new reques. The maintenance told me I couldn't get the part to my dishwasher because my rent was late not everyone check comes on time when the rent is due. I'm very upset with this place they do care about me or my kids. Also daniel lied said my apartment was in good condition but I found so many thing wrong also Daniel was rude talked over me. I have so many problem with this place. More problem with maintenance. They harass us having reason to put note on my door I do not like this place. It's very bad I see cops come in and out of this apartment almost every day. The people down stair where I live was robbed with a gun point not a good place for my kids i want to warn people not to apply for amber ridge apartment they do not care about you or the apartment.
