I have used this airline in the past, but always traveling alone. I did not know the policy they have about choosing seats. If you travel with your spouse or more family members, the system automatically assigns seats and despite the fact that the system knows perfectly well that these people travel together because the tickets have been purchased with the same payment method and at the same time, all of them can end up seated every one at a different end of the plane. At the time of doing the check in, you are informed that the only possibility you have to choose a seat is by paying an extra amount of 30 dollars per person. I don't know which CEO came up with such an idea, which could not be more abusive and disrespectful to the passenger. It is a manipulative scam, which luckily has not yet been applied in the rest of the airlines that I have used. The only thing I know is that I will never travel with this airline again in my life. Oh and another thing, AA might as well save the miserable cookie they give out for free to eat during the flight. It's ridiculous.
Bad attitude, lies, Threatening, and bullying from a supervisor checking in flight AA1160 vegas to miami, on 10/18/2022. We had problem printing the boarding pass. We made the line and approached the counter. A guy named Shawn or Shwan with a very rude attitude sent us back to the self-service machine to be assisted by a helper. I asked if he can not help us at the counter and he said no because they don't have printers. I Asked him if it was his computer, or all computers that cannot print. He said with attitude all computers. It was a lie because later they were printing boarding passes for other families. We went back to the self-service machine and got help by another employee. The employee was laughing with him because the way he made us go back. We went back to the counter to hand-in the luggage, I asked him if he lied to us when he said that all computers cannot print. He started raising his voice and treated us with no allowing us to fly today. He stated: Are you sure you want to fly today, because I can reevaluate if you will fly today. Another employee from priority desk stopped him talking to us and taking control of the situation. It looked like it was not the first time this "supervisor" uses his power to do what he wants in his position. It is unacceptable that he lied to us, he treated us with rude attitude and arrogance, he was bullying us with a coworker in our face, and on top of that he threated us by reevaluating to fly to Miami. American Airlines has lost its path to serve the clients, who pay expensive tickets, by employing a very unprofessional person that shouldn't be working directly with clients. We are very disappointed with American Airlines.
They lost our bag, then they have rules protecting themselves, so AA only paid 20% of value. Then we found out they auctioned our bag .. so AA have a Gang of thieves that take bags and sell them .. the process of identifying the content in your bag, puts a big mark on your bag, the more valuable you tell them the more likely you will never see ot, so after 5 month of hoping they will return it, we Got 20% of value. Looked on line, AA must have a Gang inside, sending bags to different distinctions or to auction where they buy them .. why the FBI not investing them .. AA LOSING 1000000 of bags .. not normal ..
This one individual has terrible customer service and is drunk on the insignificant little power he holds. Refuses to give name, then tells the other employees to refuse service to individuals he doesn't like. Hints of tacit discrimination. Manager refused to deal with how he was treating customers, stated to call the 1-800 corporate customer service number and refused to give her own name as well. 12 hour wait in the end? when there were other ways to connect several flights but staff refused to put in the work and effort.
I had Worst experience flying with American Airlines. Our first flight got canceled and then got a new flight that was delayed multiple time. My family and I missed our connecting flight due to delays and had to wait six hours for another flight. Our travel was supposed to be six hours but in total it became 13 hours. I’ll never be flying from American Airlines.
Today I am very disappointed American airlines is my favorite to fly but today it is too much abuse with customers, I am with my son who is disabled for 45 minutes waiting on the ramp and the temperature outside was 103 degrees of heat, to get on another plane that We have been waiting for more than 25 minutes with a heat inside the plane as if it were an oven. It is abusive and antihuman what happened today.
They lost my luggage and there was no empathy or care whatsoever! We only got it back after we persisted ourself and rang the airport staff. Just an awful experience, and staff were just not bothered.
Baggage claim is the longest wait or your bag is just straight out lost.
Flight AA 596 got cancelled because a Crew Member did not show up. All passengers were sent away, and this is happening at 1:30am PST. Advice to airline - where was your back-up crew in standby? The thing the airline did right was rebooking my flight right away. The lady on the phone was very helpful. And setting up hotel accommodations for the passengers.
American Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Dallas and from Dallas to Miami. I have to say that no social distancing, flight was at full capacity, all the seats were taken. When you board the plane you are given a bag with water, pretzels, cookies and a hand sanitizer. People are called by sections but don't respect the 6ft distance protocol.
