Besides for this place being close to where I wanted to be it had little to offer. The bed sheets had burn holes throughout, the mattress was pretty bad and they don't even offer coffee in the morning. I pray I don't need to stay here again any time soon.Rooms: 2/5

Was an okay stay. The fridge inside the room wasn't cleaned out though, it had spilled juice or something and some kind of bread inside the freezer.Rooms: 3/5

This place has made a complete turn around since the new owners and staff have been around all the complaints were during this turnover period and was a necessary in order to get the property up to par which looks awesome now and to make it a much safer and secure than it ever was before . The staff all have put there all into making hilltop a place a family can feel secure and comfortable while staying in a clean updated room that I must say are well worth the very affordable prices charged. It's refreshing to see how the staff work so hard together to resolve even the smallest issues you can ask for anything day or night and not feel like a burden but more like family I'm completely amazed at the remarkable turn around this place has made you can actually feel the pride and values that have been poured into the hilltop . The reviews I read were exactly what was of this place no doubt but can honestly say that you can't find a better place to stay that even compares to what this place has become especially for the prices and hospitality and the extra added safety that's provided as well as clean updated room . What once was is no longer . I challenge anyone to test my review and check it out you won't be disappointed I'm sure . So thanks to all the staff at the hilltop for taking a place known for bad reviews and violence and making it what it is a safe comfortable place for the whole family that you can afford. You community around you sees you, and are proud to have you, your impact has touched everyone around you in a positive and welcoming way .. amazing work hilltop I'm impressed and encourage you to keep up the great work . Five stars and you folks have earned it..

Location by main freeway and does have weekly rates for rooms. No thrills room but adequate.Rooms: 3/5

Knowing that the owner's are fairly new, it's apparent that they are putting a lot of time and effort into making ones stay at their establishment, one that far surpasses the average experience under the ownership of the last few owners.Rooms: 4/5

Had the worst experience of my life. My car broke down and was slowly coming to a stop so I pulled off the freeway and stopped atrhe first parking spot I could find. The person at the front threatened the call the police, not sure why.. and remained bothering me and threatening me until I moved a car that JUST got there. I didn't know what the name of the hotel was yet but I cant believe the way they treated someone just looking for water. I had my 3 month old puppy with me who needed water. I was just waiting for a tow. These people made my life a complete nightmare when I was already in the worst situation possible. The tow truck couldn't have arrived at a better time. Horrible people. Blessed only to deal with them for 40 mins.

I've been here for months. They're renovating and it's a noisy mess. Serious plumbing problems. I've yet to see a room where the sink drains without draining straight to the floor. AND faucets that work. There is no guest laundry. No cont. Breakfast, they list these but they're not available. They just stopped the $215 weekly rate with no notice and it virtually doubled to $399. I know this is still cheap, but without being moved to an updated room I'm not willing to pay more. For what? The inconvenience of their renovation?

I've been here for over a month. Staff has been really nice and respectful of my privacy. They are in the process of a remodel so I'm currently in one of the older rooms waiting on remodelling. Air is cold, beds soft and water is hot for showers. All in all my stay is ok. Biggest thing is no bed bugs, no roaches and no drama. Only complaint is Wi-Fi is spotty.

This was a room w/a bed, so if that's all you're after, it's a good choice. Our toilet clogged and when we called the desk, they just offered up a plunger. I wouldn't mind this if I had been home. But I wasn't. I paid for a room so I would like things to work correctly, to include the toilet. The smell of the room was a horrible put-off, too. It wasn't terrible, but not pleasant either. The room had a mini fridge that definitely kept our drinks cold they actually had a little ice in them, and microwave but we didnt use it. The TV worked after we got it tuned back to cable, and the bed was worth the $50/night but not more. It wasn't a bad place but I don't think we'll be returning.

I didn't even stay. I took one look at the room and left. Even if it had been clean, I wouldn't have been able to get past the smell. I had a hard time getting a refund as well.Rooms: 1/5
