Amigos Mexican Restaurant

This restaurant is really killing it right now. Food is fresh, served fast and tastes amazing. We've had some poor experiences in the past but at this time, nobody does Mexican cuisine with good service and attention to detail better than Amigos.

Excellent food. Service was great. Had been there on a Thursday night and apparently on Tuesdays and Thursday currently they have a. Dj/karaoke night. That was kind entertaining.

We came here with a large group; a youth robotics team and parents in town for a tournament. We called ahead for a table and got a reservation, but when we arrived we were told there were no reservations that night because it was karaoke night (Thursday night) - although they did make a space to accommodate us. It turns out that "karaoke night" is one man (the owner maybe?) singing kitschy Mexican songs, followed by a DJ playing loud club music. Note that this isn't a club setting. There's no dance floor - just really loud music to eat to (forget conversation over the meal). The food was good and the portions generous. I got a box for my fajita leftovers - something that's out of character for me - and the burrito grande is HUGE. The place was very popular with the college crowd that night, likely because of B1G1 margaritas.

Good authentic Mexican food. Great value large portions reasonable price. Good service fast and take out is awesome too.

Very tasty food and the queso blanco is one of the best you can find in Cedar Falls, but the service is inconsistent and the margaritas are barely blended and super sugary. Also, Thursday night is karaoke night, so if you are trying to have a nice family dinner, I would steer clear of Amigos on Thursdays because it gets incredibly LOUD.
