The food was AMAZING! I was really impressed with his food. I was surprised with how much food was on my plate for the price. Definitely my to-go place when i dont feel like cooking. However there is only 1 cook so be prepared for the wait because everything is make from scratch, i suggest to call ahead especially if you have a big group.

Food was incredible but definitely know what you're getting into before coming. It's going to take a bit, but it's worth it if you have the time. The spicy nacho meat was amazing, nice and relaxing atmosphere. I'll be back for sure.

The food is delicious, and the owner is very friendly. The only thing is that the food takes a while to get to the table, but it's totally worth it!

Don't be scared by the outside, Although our dinner took 2 and a 1/2 hours it was one of the most enjoyable authentic South American dinners. The place wasn't busy and it did take a long time to get the food as others has have commented but it was made very fresh and you could tell that it was just cooked for you as if you were sitting in someone's kitchen. The owner owned a restaurant in campus town for decades that was popular and then left that location. The outside of this restaurant is not auspicious to say the least, in fact, I had been kind of scared to go inside because it looks like something other than a restaurant goes on there. Ames lacks very many good restaurants and this one should certainly get up on the radar.
