Twelve weeks since total knee replacement. Dr. Douglas Prevost performed the surgery at Anchorage Regional Hospital. The care I received was outstanding, both by personnel at the clinic and at the hospital. I am 81 years old. Followed all instructions for rehabilitation, including physical therapy. The use of the continuous passive machine during the first 3 weeks was invaluable. Do not think I would have moved my knee during that recovery time, to the extent that the machine forced it to move. Now 12 weeks later, I have strapped on my classic cross-country skis. During and after the 35 minute ski tour, there was no pain. Thank you to all the care providers. I am pain free!

This team has previously helped my wife and now Dr. Kerr is helping me. My experience with this group has been very good, the entire team is made up of people whose competence and compassion are both obvious. Every time I interact with AFOC I feel like I am dealing with people who actually want to do their job which seems all too rare these days. I trust these folks with my health and my families and that's probably the highest praise I can give a provider.

Dr. Kerr took the time to listen to my concerns and the issues I’m experience and took a thoughtful approach towards figuring out a diagnosis and path forward that fit within my needs and requests. He initiated numerous follow ups to ensure the best outcomes and ensure the issues I am experienced by something else. Really appreciate him and his PA and am excited to go back to my follow up and dial in my treatment plan.

I broke my wrist on Labor Day. Dr Kerr and staff at AFOC have been wonderful with assisting me on my road to recovery. Everyone has been kind, courteous, quick and thorough. Even my need for documents to be provided to my employer was not viewed as a burden for this great staff. Thank you to everyone who have assisted me through this challenging time. Go to clinic for orthopedic, physical therapy and massage needs. They offer walk- in appointments or you can book with a provider that specializes in your complaint. Reasonable wait time with a large waiting area with a nice sized TV. X- Ray is on site for convenience and if needed they work with an imaging center for MRI's. Providers are knowledgeable and offer multiple options for treatment. Front desk is has great customer service and go out of their way to make sure any concerns I had were addressed. In addition they also offer physical therapy and massage therapy. The physical therapist work hard to make sure their patients are meeting their goals. They are connected with the clinic so they can communicate directly with my referring doctor and make sure I never have to worry about updating orders or notes being sent back and forth. They have three massage therapist two at the main clinic and one at the south clinic. The therapist have have been in this field for many years and customize each session to what you body needs. Great addition to the therapy department. Overall I recommend AFOC to anyone looking for a reliable knowledgeable orthopedic, physical therapy, or massage therapy provider.

Had my left knee replaced on 5 October 2022. Dr Prevost is an awesome surgeon. He provided detailed explanation and was easy to communicate with making the experience so much easier. My knee feels fantastic and I’m three months after surgery. The entire team is outstanding. I am especially thankful for physical therapists Lindsay Hixon and Maggie Carlton out at the Eagle River office, truly professional, knowledgeable and caring and got my knee working again.

Competent, caring and efficient service. Dr Prevost did a fantastic job and his PA Kate was also great. Will certainly use them again if needed. You can’t go wrong with this clinic. Am referring my husband for his hip too.

I have been lucky enough to be treated by Dr. Sparks and his team @ AFOC and they are the best! 3 years ago I had right shoulder surgery and from the very successful operation to the on-site physical therapy, everything went perfect. I am now back to have an operation on my left shoulder and there was no hesitation on my part to choose Dr. Sparks and the team @ AFOC for my medical care.
