Worked with them before and had a good experience, the last time however was not. Called and told us the issue I need fixed will cost $1,300 so basically a new fridge. They did not even try. Which kind of pissed me off, so I spent $27 and an hour and half later fixed the wires and it is now working. Not sure why they did not want to do it. Heard back from my review with an explanation, I appreciate the explanation and can understand having to deal with manufacturers. I have moved it to 4 stars, as they do give good service, not sure the tech gave my wife all of the info they gave me in the review.
NEVER SIGN A WAIVER WITH THIS COMPANY. We had our dishwasher repaired and was told we had to sign a waiver. Now we have a water leak under our sink where the contractor had to disconnect and reconnect the water line. I called Andy's Appliance to see if they would do the right thing and fix the water leak and was told that they would not take responsibility even though they person who did the repair admitted that it only started leaking after he reconnected the waterline. The waiver gives them the right to walk away from any damages that may have been caused by their work. Your contractor has been to our home for repairs over 7 or 8 times to repair brand new appliances; not once have we ever had to sign a waiver. We were not informed that your contractor would be working on or near the plumbing. The contractor stated he was concerned about damagind our floors which is why he refused to do the work until we signed a waiver. NOT once did he mention plumbing. We never had a water leak issue under the sink prior to your contractor touching that specific area. Also, we did not tell your serviceman that we would "monitor the leak and get the pipe fixed". That is a lie. We told him that we did not expect us to be on the hood for the damage. The pipe was NOT leaking until he worked on it.
Got issue on my ice maker, all the cube ice get melted toguether and was very hard to get them separate, so I called Andy's, never use this company before. They put me on schedule and called me on their way to my home, they arrived and diagnostic one board was caussing this issue, so they ordered this part and came back to my house a day before we had on schedule, and of course I was happy to have my fridge be working good again. They install the new part and my ice maker is working the right way now. Thank you Andy's.
When I called they quoted me 5-800 for the compressor. When the tech showed up and confirmed the compressor was bad, the price went up to "at least 13-1500" which exceeds the value of a new fridge. And poof... I'm out 132 bucks and still need a fridge.
I've used Andy's in the past & ALWAYS get great service! Dennis was my technician, he was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. It's refreshing to get honest & reliable work performed, especially in this day & age. They are my first, second & last choice! As the daughter of a master electrician and general contractor, I'm fortunate in that my father took me on jobs so that I could have a little bit of knowledge...just enough so that I would know if someone was shady & dishonest. When we first moved to Bellevue, I had called a different company for similar services. Unbeknownst to them, I already knew the problem and was checking to see how honest the company was. Well, they're no longer in business, and Andy's still is! Where other companies have been able to potentially see me sooner, I've always elected to wait for Andy's, & I always will!
Update to this. Andy's called me immediately after seeing this review and offered to fix the problem. They came yesterday and replaced the part free of charge. I will definitely continue to use Andy's and will gladly recommend them to others. Fixed the problem but cracked the housing of the water and ice dispenser. Didn't realize it until a few days later when a small chunk of it fell out.
Chris was very kind and courteous. He wasn't able to repair our refrigerator because the compresser went out. He did tell us the cost to repair, which would be as much as buying a new one. Nice guy!
they called at time of my appt saying they had to cancel as the tech had covid. couldnt send someone in his place. i took the day off for this appt. poor customer service. my time is wrth money too!
