Not happy! Waited in the room an hour to see Dr. Kim Lamotte. showed up 15 min early and after 1 hour I Inquiried twice with the staff of what is taking so long didn't get an answer. We had to leave the appointment without even seeing the dr because over an hour in she never came into the room ! just a lack of respect of peoples time. I called to see what happened after we left and the manager said "Oh Dr. Lamotte she's the owner and she's very busy. She was on the phone, she had a meeting. I knocked on her door multiple times but she didn't respond" WOW!! No regard for patients time. Scheduling a meeting the same time as a patients appointment and doesn't even have the courtesy to reschedule our appointment. Would never again go to this office if this is how she runs her business! We took our kid out of school early and left work early to be there yet she couldn't be bothered to actually show up. Don't go here if you want your time valued and actually be respected as a patient !
First I’d like to start off by saying my child has come here his entire life and the professionalism has gone down tremendously. I never have issues in person however when calling and depending on who you speak with, may be a different story. My child was seen, I was told I would be referred to a specialist for my child. I was never told who I was being referred to and after 2 weeks called anthem to inquire since no one ever called me about receiving a referral… I left a voicemail for staff and a week passed by with no returned call. I called today, was bounced around several times, hung up on while being connected to someone else… so by the 4th time I inquired on the name of the person I was speaking with… because no one says their name when they answer. The woman said her name was Patty, told her the issue I was having and she had the nastiest tone and when I asked why she was raising her voice, told me because “because you came on the line angry” she was informed it was not anger it was frustration and nothing was directed towards her. She responded and said she didn’t have an attitude but continued to have an elevated and unprofessional tone. She told me she would have someone else who deals with referrals call me, didn’t say who the person would be or the time it would take, when asked how long that would be told me by end of week. Considering I called a week prior and left a message and was not given a phone call back is frustrating when you as a mother have to follow up with a business on top of that be bounced around… this isn’t a bank call center. I did ask to speak to her supervisor and left a message so hopefully that person will call back. But, at minimum staff should be greeting with their name. There’s a difference between anger and frustration, Patty wasn’t personally attacked nor was anything directed to her just the fact of me having to explain again. Clearly, she could not help so again I spent my time explaining all for her to put it off on someone else. The other issue is, my child was referred somewhere with a 3 year waiting list. All I asked is whomever else I’m referred to please make sure that it’s not that long as that benefits no parent or child and Patty responded, “ we don’t do that, nor do we control someone else’s waiting list.” I’m aware you can’t control the waiting list but to do due diligence is something you can do. Had this location called the referral they would know it’s 3 years out, so why refer patients there. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. I’m not sure if Patty was having a bad day, but I hope it gets better and she’s kinder to others. As a parent closed doors and “ we can’t dos” don’t work. I never like writing reviews about people specifically but it was deserving for the treatment I received today.
Staff won't contact both parents in cases of split custody and will perform medical procedures on a child without consent of both parents. I DO NOT recommend taking your child here unless you want to be looked down on for "not being at appointments" eventhough you were never even made aware of any.
I’ve been going here since my first child was born. Now that I have 2 kids, it’s frustrating to me to be able to schedule my kid’s appointments ahead of time. They want you to call a month before and they don’t remind you. I get busy with work and home life, and I’d forget to schedule my kids appointments because no matter how many times I call to schedule, they always turn me away and say it’s too early. We love Dr. Okafor which is why this business still gets 3 stars.
Recently started bringing my newborn twins here. We’re foster parents so paperwork can be tricky but the front office staff was so patient and kind. We love Dr. Christine Herrera!! She’s relatable, nice and has such an awesome bedside manner with us and the babies.
Very disappointed. We were a new patient. Our appointment was at 11am, they understandably asked us to arrive at 10:40 to fill out paperwork. We arrived at 10:33 and was not put into a room till 12:03. Just to give you an idea of how long we had to wait and there was nothing for children to do in the waiting room. The first nurse didn't seem she like she wanted to be there and was very off putting. Dr. Green was nice, but made my daughter feel uncomfortable. My daughter actually asked that we not return. The only good part was the nurse who administered my daughters vaccines. She was awesome! We just moved to the area and will still be looking for a pediatrician.
I am so disappointed with this office. My son recently had an allergic reaction so we took him in and just our luck we ended up with Dr. Wilkes. After sending our son to get a blood test they wanted me wait 5 days to find out what he was allergic to and they refused to even tell me if it was any food group. I'm sorry waiting 5 days to find out what's causing my son a lot of discomfort is just not good enough. Finally got to see them Monday and she said she'll request another allergy test "right away". 2 weeks later they called me for a test after I left Anthem hills a message regarding this matter. Now I have a $630 test and no insurance to cover it. Screw this place. The nurses are amazing and I am just sad we didn't see Dr. Jack instead. Now we will be seeing another pediatrician.
Today my children were seen in the rainbow office. After an hour wait in the room my autistic son was starting to self harm so I opened the door to ask of we knew how long it would be and dr. Lamont Malone came out from around the corner and screamed at me and started yelling at me about how a different child needed to see a cardiologist. From there she proceeded to throw her clip board aggressively toward her staff. When I told her it was not appropriate her response was she owned the office. She then proceeded to skip my children and see other patients. This was disgusting. I will never bring my children to this place again.
I called to setup an appointment for my 9 months old well visit but waiting on someone to pickup the phone took me 22 minuets. Unfortunately, I had to hang up the phone and move on to my to do lists of the day. Their nurses are very rude and try to treat parents like they know nothing rather than just being a parents. Lack of professionalism from the bottom up. You see a doctor only for few minutes but it costs parents hours to go through the whole process. Whoever in charge of this facility got a lot to fix.
I had been going to Anthem Hills Pediatrics from the time of my daughter's birth. We met Dr. Mihic please forgive the spelling at the hospital I delivered at and loved her. She referred us to her clinic. Initial we were seeing Mengistsu I LOVE her, very kind, understanding and answers questions patiently. Unfortunately perhaps because she was so good she was always busy! My daughter has pretty severe eczema so we would often schedule appointments when her flareups got crazy. We ended up going with Okafor please forgive the spelling as she was available most times we needed to come in. This whole review is based upon our last visit. As I mentioned...my daughter has severe eczema and we have found great success in natural creams and lotions to manage her symptoms, though we still have a long journey ahead, and we know this. Sun had a bad flareup that day..due to whatever the reason and upon signing in and being escorted to the back...the MA...I don't believe she was a Dr. Or PA, felt it was appropriate to comment on my daughter's skin. "Oh it looks worse than last time," "Why is she so itchy, this doesn't look better," " ETC. If I am wrong...please correct me, but as she was there to measure, weigh and give Sun her shots, I did not expect her to feel it is ok to INSENSITIVELY comment on a skin condition that she does not have advanced knowledge. Since her eczema was so severe, as a mom we have to look at the little signs of progress...the texture...look, etc. While in treatment it is the only thing that gives us hope.....so I was so upset. Dr. Okafor commented on her skin by look, and she WAS extremely itchy that day, due to the flarup and rash patches. I was down by her comments however I explained that we were waiting for the Allergy test this whole time to see if we can eliminate what she is reacting to. We were told by Dr. OKAFOR, " I won't recommend an allergy panel..because you are cash pay and it's very expensive." .....excuse me? We decided to cash pay because that works for us right now. Nevermind that it is COVID/ was COVID where MILLIONS of people lost their income...homes...jobs. HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE and makes me feel she may be out of touch with the people. I recommend going to another Dr. And if the nurse feels her medical knowledge is enough to speak on things concerning a child you haven't seen in 3 months...a child you don't know the reason for the setback...a child with a VERY KNOWN skin condition that even DR.s have not figured out. Then excuse me.
